The Suga KWP conundrum… Sugawara has settled in much quicker than I thought he would, clearly an excellent RB. KWP arguably the best outfield player we have. As we have a viable option to start a left footed left back in Charlie Taylor, could we maximise our RB options by starting with KWP; he guns it for 60 minutes, until he gasses then we finish with Suga. Keeps the intensity really high on the right side, whilst the left is balanced.

Trying to scratch some positives from today. 2 fragile teams, we crashed after the penalty miss, score that and we’re a very different team till at least half time. Big Les looks decent, think he’ll improve a bundle this season. I was surprised Tyler started but he’s clearly going to be a top player. I thought Jan was solid at the back, as were Suga and KWP. Sadly, the biggest positive from the last 60 minutes was Stephens misses the next 3 games Up the fucking Saints!

I also think a double pivot could work for us, especially if we go 4 at the back but City play a 4-3-3 with one pivot, as did England on Tuesday - I'm sure many others play a single pivot or switch between a single and a double depending on game condition.
