Thanks. Rudy Kraft, the author of Wondrous Relics.

Have you ever said why you chose to be so interested in SFC and it's affairs and who you are?

Damien Comolli. It's in the thread title and in the first post.

Hopefully Les has told Mauricio now.

In case a customer dare offer a critique? It's not North Korea. -
Don't forget Gardos....

It's not a unique situation. It happens all the time. I don't doubt we are also guilty of it. Should Celtic stop selling to us after we keep taking their players? Not giving away £10m will soften the blow of him leaving even if it is to Liverpool. I agree with your sentiment I just don't think it will happen in the real world. If he's going to go then we neeed to maximise our return. After all Kat has made it clear she is unable to sufficiently fund the club to move forward and external investment also seems some way off just now.

For the first time ever you made me laugh out loud. #irony.

We aren't owned by the Qatari royal family unfortunately. £10m is £10m. I can't see us giving that up. Ideologically yes. Realistically no.

I'm still hanging on to the notion that's he's absolutely, definitely not going anywhere as you have repeatedly stated all summer. In Always we trust.

It's all about business at the end of the day. I can't see SFC cutting off their nose to spite their face by giving up £10m.. As nice an idea as it is I can't see that happening.

This will probably be announced imminently as an offset to the VvD news.

Clearly written by his agent / PR Rep / lawyer and not Virgil. Not that it matters as he will have given it his approval. Quite an abrasive statement to say the least. What a noob.

Make your mind up

There's a reason that Spurs are held as a reference model. An ex-Saints reason.
-
Were they mutually exclusive then? The team / squad needs strengthening and quality adding. That's as clear as day.

6 could quite easily start our first game of the season. They were regulars - as much as you could be in Puel's rotational system - last season. It might be only 5, it might be more. The point is you were trying to infer that it was a team of nobodies and not relevant when it was quite the opposite. It was largely made up of players who will feature heavily this year regardless of who actually starts the first game.

Any Saints fans in Dallas, Texas 25-29 August?

I'm there the week before for work. Quite a regular trip for me. Plano and Richardson. Get yourself a tour round the 'new' Dallas Cowboys stadium. Now that is a stadium! -
Squad numbers are released. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-08-04/southampton-squad-numbers-2017-18-season

So was Kelvin before him. Seems a fairly meaningless title. They just get to organise the end-of-season party and attend social functions on behalf of the club. Romeu for me.
-
Maybe he's a disciple of the school of rotation. It's the only way to get through a demanding season.

It's more likely to stop losing money rather than make it. Kat has made it clear she no longer feels she can fund the Club to move it forwards hence the search for an investor / new owner. In the meantime we are treading water and it's a very dangerous game as those around us invest to strengthen their teams and squads. I actually think the sale of VvD would be good in that respect as we will - hopefully - see a portion (I highly doubt it will be the full fee) reinvested into the squad. It is clearly much needed. Few would disagree with that I'm sure.
