  1. We could trouble our own midfielders when Long shoots? Sounds about right.
  2. Don't think you could have watched it in that case. It's an honest and open interview with little sign of media schooling.
  3. Anyone who saw his bit part appearances at the start of last season could see what he was about. Unfortunately it seemed the longer he was exposed to Puel’s tutelage the worse he became. I think I’d trust the eye of Bayern and Pep.
  4. Glad to see Hoj run the show. Seems to have rehabilitated from his Puel experience. Pamplemouse probably still thinks he's not up to it Miles better all round, more pressure, more intensity. Hoj, Austin and Redmond the keys for me but better everywhere on the pitch.
  5. Lemina possible for Sunday it seems.
  6. We should be able to change their fortunes.
  7. Another great blog. I think there will be a lot of folks nodding in agreement as they read that.
  8. It was cringeworthy then. Even more so now. https://southamptonfc.com/news/2014-06-12/reed-new-boss-will-share-saints-vision
  9. It's OK, Les has a long line of potential managers in his black box database. Succession planning.
  10. http://www.itv.com/news/2017-11-10/virgil-van-dijk-no-rush-for-kieran-tierney-to-leave-scottish-football/ #irony
  11. Be good if he can get back to the form he showed when first here and when at Bayern before he got Puel'd.
  12. You saw who we played in the first 11 games and who we have in our next 10 fixtures I take it?
  13. Our forwards certainly are.
  14. Quite how anyone can suggest Billic after the fare and performances he has been serving up at WHU is beyond me.
  15. The optimist in me says we are going to get absolutely hammered.
  16. What's that got to do with the him being 'out of his depth' in the Prem statement? Not many managers have not been sacked in their careers. I'm not advocating his permanent return but I'd be more than happy for him to temporarily replace MP.
  17. He had only two defeats in the 12 games leading up to his sacking. Yes, really out of his depth.
  18. JWP gets a bonus for playing which he splits 50:50 with MP. Win win.
  19. Similar to the supporters of Les.
  20. I think with the new ownership position along with the precarious standing of Reed then a caretaker-type appointment might be the way to go. If that is the case then I think Adkins would be a great option.
  21. That would leave Wreck-it Ralph to appoint the next manager. From the NHL.
  22. The ‘problem’ with firing Reed as well as MP is who does that leave to identify and appoint the next manager? Admittedly we have Doris the tea lady and she would probably make as good a selection as Reed has with the last two.
  23. Stephens only played as we had little or no other options. JWP was no better at the end of the season than the start, VvD only played half a season and was the same player when he got injured as when he started the season. Sims and McQueen hardly got a look-in the second half of the season.
