  1. Not read all 4 pages but on the basis this rumour has some mileage then it might go some way to explaining Lowe's lack of urgency concerning JP's position. In other words what's the point of change. Let's wait and see though.....
  2. The only resigning going on seems to be the Club resigning itself to League 1. There doesn't appear to be even the slightest hint that JP can turn things around.
  3. You can be fairly sure that those investment organisations holding our purse strings would underwrite the cost of compensating / replacing Jan if (and of course there is no certainty) it would mean CCC survival. This would be an insignificant 'cost' versus the impact of relegation to League 1.
  4. All pretty meaningless unless the context of their time at the helm and all associated conditions are considered.
  5. One hell of a lot less than the consequences of relegation.
  6. In general the lack of communication coming from either Wilde or Lowe in recent weeks has been deafening. I appreciate they are damned if they speak and damned if they don't but at this most critical moment in Southampton's history you'd think they would want to keep the fanbase informed of things. Yes we had the farce of the AGM but very little since then. Watching South Today tonight with their coverage of the events of the weekend they stated that they'd asked Lowe, Wilde and Portvleit for an interview and all declined / not available. They also stated no official from the club was prepared to issue a comment / statement. SFC are just asking for more trouble if they're not going to have the media on their side.
  7. What a load of rubbish. Is it that convenient to forget the state of the club / team that NP inherited. He had to stop the negative momentum that was in place before being able to turn things around. As for Dowie, well his CV doesn't stand up to a great deal of scrutiny but in saying that I'm sure he's a better option than we have right now.
  8. According to the NOTW (yes, yes, I know!) Boothroyd will be appointed Norwich manager this week..
  9. Is he going to Man City?
  10. Sounds like he was quite annoyed today
  11. It's like Groundhog again from 2008. Somehow we need to find another 'Nigel Pearson' who can come in, instill some confidence, orchestrate some cohesive tactics and reverse the alarming trend of the season. Who that is though I have no idea.
  12. It's unusual for someone from Holland to have such a poor grasp of the English language. It's not a criticism but a fact and seems to compound his apparent lack of coaching / management skills.
  13. That is a truly depressing read
  14. Lowe's made plenty of mistakes to choose from but I agree. Not appointing Pearson may well be his biggest one yet.
  15. Sorry fella but I don't buy that. 'No other options but to use the Academy lads' you say? Well today I make it only James and DMG (plus 22 year old Surman with 100+ first team games) from the Academy started the game. This team should not be in the bottom 3!
  16. Totally agree. Not that long ago he was using the forum for his own benefit, maybe he could come on again and explain wtf he is doing about the situation the club is now in.
  17. Sorry?
  18. How about, why is there 3 threads on the same topic?
  19. Would be interesting to hear the full facts behind this episode. I wonder how the Club will spin this one?
  20. His position must be completely untenable now after this latest shambles. This is not a team of world-beaters but should easily be a solid mid-table outfit. What an embarassment.
  21. Who ever said the art of debating was dead :smt014

    Fascinating
  23. I'm not a fan of his by any means but there's not point tearing into him due to his wages. His agent would have asked for it and we (the royal 'we') were prepared to pay it. We're the plonkers not him. The fact that he was personally targetted throught the Echo is pretty poor show on behalf of the Club - assuming that's where the leak came from.
  24. I seem to recall some slightly strange wording on the OS article announcing the signing of Molyneaux. It read something like 'the ex-Everton player' which of course was true but not normally the turn of phrase you'd use in that scenario. Can't find the article on the OS now though. Maybe he did go somewhere between Everton and us?
  25. Obviously you and Chez went to the game yesterday. Would be interested to hear your player ratings. Thanks.
