  1. Yep, signed according to The DE.
  2. Still at Durdle Door
  3. What's the team line-up do we think?
  4. And how many of our signings in the last few years have actually been ‘upgrades’ on the departed player? Maybe that cycle will change but it seems unlikely in the current circumstances.
  5. You clearly didn’t listen to a word he said then.
  6. Amen. I don’t know why Bojo just didn’t go to Twitter, Facebook and Saintsweb for his research and answers. Would have saved him a lot of grief.
  7. Exactly! Plumber Ryan Price is pretty famous on Twitter today. We need more Ryan's.
  8. This table is part of a Sky article. I know our home form is bad but when you see a graphic of it it makes you realise just how bad it is!
  9. It’s quite incredible that 3+ months down the line that some people are still struggling with the most basic elements of the virus and need it explaining for the thousandth time.
  10. There are so many holes in your argument it’s hardly worth warranting a response. You are including the month of January in your flight statistics, yes? The month when even China had not even stopped Wuhan flights till 24th January. In March Heathrow had seen a drop of passenger numbers by more than 50%. I’d stick to telling us what a poor player Lallana was and how he was never going to make it. If you’re going to put forward an argument at least have some semblance of balance and fact about it.
  11. This is not a ‘usual’ situation. It will be accelerated.
  12. The benefit of hindsight. And the same people have been quoting Sweden as a reference for a relaxed approach (which is not a great example based on latest statistics) and would have whined about an earlier lockdown impacting their civil liberties or some other left wing cr@p. Oh and they couldn’t have lived without being able to go to MacDonalds. Let’s face it. WHO didn’t know how to address it and there’s been a multitude of different approaches from different countries. They’ve all taken a punt on what they think the right approach would be. Some have worked better than others. Some placed their money on red some on black.
  13. Proportionally Sweden is struggling massively with deaths more than 3x that of the combined deaths of Denmark, Finland and Norway. And let’s not pretend they are carrying on as normal. I spend a third of my working life in Scandinavia and two thirds of that in Sweden. Many of the ‘rules’ may only be guidelines but they are followed as if they were law. Most companies have employees working from home, they are practicing social distancing, travel within the country is down 90%, universities are closed. The list goes on.
  14. After this horrible time in history is over I’ll firstly think about the awful global loss of lives then I’ll think of what an absolute t1t you made of yourself. Ably assisted by a handful of other loons.
  15. And it is well known that South Korea was more experienced in managing these scenarios due to their experience with SARS. It’s also widely accepted that their rigorous quarantine measures and testing have contributed to their success in controlling Covid19 and not, as your Government hating friend was trying to tell us through shutting down travel. They have done lots that many, if not most countries could learn from, not just the UK. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/mar/20/south-korea-rapid-intrusive-measures-covid-19
  16. New Zealand has a tenth of the UK population in a country with a similar land mass. Australia has little more than a third of the UK population in a country more than 30 times the size of the UK.
  17. And the same period of 2020 will see the death rate around 50% higher than the normal rate at this time of the year and who knows what that figure would have been without the controls put in place.
  18. Lots of clubs doing the same at the moment. Amazing how quickly they can get the new surface up and running.
  19. Some player that Bertrand / bertrand fella!
  20. I was rather addressing Bangkok's point about player contact. And yes you are of course right. There's a lot to work out but you know that football is a multi-billion pound game so I actually don't think the costs of testing will be an issue in monetary terms but the opportunity cost ie ensuring that frontline / key etc workers not being compromised on their testing etc maybe more of an issue.
  21. I'm assuming one of the criteria to be met is that all players and coaching staff will be tested beforehand and regularly thereafter.
  22. I saw Richards at the Botley Park Hotel the evening before he signed. If I recall correctly he was one of those signings without much prior build-up or widespread knowledge?
  23. No one is saying all of them and I should have been clearer. ‘Some’ may have been a more appropriate word. One is too many of course. Especially if it could be prevented.
  24. I’m not ‘trying’ to say anything. I’m making an observation. I think that’s obvious.
  25. They may well have contracted CV outside of their line of work.
