A bit of a vested interest here as I have daughters who have been at the RTC, initially the Hampshire FA one then Saints when they took over a few years ago. The girls are treated just as the boys are, access to all the facilities, physio, medical etc. They wear gps trackers and get video analysis after every game. They train 3 nights a week and play against other RTC’s - Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton etc as well as boys teams in the same age group. The standard is pretty high, several of the girls are in the relevant England squad and developing well. Regarding the adult team, they are as professional as they can be, full time coaches, all the kit and they play at AFC Tottenham. They were promoted 2 leagues last year as they were beating everyone and the aim is to get to WSL as soon as possible. Some of the girls from the RTC are already playing for the team at 16 and 17. So again they want to grow from the academy. Despite some of the negative comments on here about women’s football, they take it very seriously and are improving rapidly. If you’ ve got a free afternoon, why not pop down to Totton to support, I know they would really appreciate it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

A sane and realistic view. It seems that so many don't remember where we were 5 or even 10 years ago. It's so nice to go into a game hoping that if we win, we might get into Europe AGAIN as opposed to we still need 3 points to not get relegated. The turn around is truly incredible and we have to believe and support Kat and co as they have totally and utterly transformed this cub over the past years.

If benteke's was a penalty last week then so was that. Consistency is all we ask for Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

think that when Saints dropped their Women's team back in the Lowe days, Hampshire FA stepped in to run a centre of excellence for Under 17's and below. This is still being run today by them and they compete with all of the academy's in the south (e.g Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton, Middlesex etc) and there are I think 18 of these nationally. I would imagine that this would be what Saints would take over again as it's designed to be a pathway to develop players for the England national squad. As for the 'grown up' team there are several in Southampton, so I guess they would start one from scratch http://www.hampshirefa.com/players/womensfootball/girlscoe

Firstly, don't plan to stay in Manila, not a great city and not much to do other than shopping malls. As to the place with loads to do, then Boracay is pretty much the only place that fits the bill. Lots more choices for the second week, s has already been suggested Palawan and in my view the northern part Coron is very nice, although mainly fairly remote resorts, but I would recommend you go to Alona Beach on Panglao island. Nice beach, quite a few bars and restaurants with a nice atmosphere. As previously recommended learn to dive, one of the cheapest places in the world and the diving is spectacular, Balicasig Island near Alona beach was awesome. PM me if you need any info -
Manila without a doubt, 4 terminals doted around a runway, crazy traffic around makes transfers a nightmare and as for the terminals, immigration and security sheer chaos with inadequate air con. At rush hour, it can take 2-3 hrs just to get through immigration on the way OUT of the country! The best, Changi is the benchmark, but KL, Incheon, Sydney ( the Qantas lounge is awesome) and in Europe Munich's pretty good

People who just stand on a moving walkway blocking it. The hint is in its name!

Despite their years, AC/DC are awesome, just worry 'bout Angus dropping dead on stage

Wrexham in the conference are now fan owned with nearly 2500 members so those of you who think that that's their level should maybe reconsider!, http://www.wst.org.uk/www2/

Definitely be a bit tight on you phil;-)

Today I put my hand up, I left early just as the min extra time was announced, I'm now typing this at Heathrow so I have a proper excuse. Dubai Phil, you around for a beer tomorrow night, staying at the Hilton Dubai Creek?

There's a very small one in no mans land and the pub there does good food

Easiest way is to link to this http://www.travbuddy.com/maps/4968675

But some of his linkup work was sublime and to be honest I'd much rather several players scoring goals regularly than having to rely on Lambert like we did last season. He is playing as part of a team and is regularly working the channels and laying on goal scoring opportunities for others.

You're out of date, over the past few years the average public sector pay is greater than private sector plus they get the cast iron pension: "Workers in the public sector are now being paid more than £2,000 extra a year compared with employees in the private sector, after public sector pay continued to race ahead of inflation. The average public sector worker was paid £23,660 a year, compared with private sector workers who were paid £21,528 a year, in the three months to the end of November. Air NZ introduces economy lie-flat seats

Yeh areee with you there Phil, flew BA to AUH which was ok but was really looking forward to the 14 hr Etihad flt to Sydney. Imagine my disappointment at the airport to be told by Etihad that Business was full!................ so they upgraded me to First - sadly their biz class seat will never be the same :-) -
After the MLT evening last Saturday, got on the plane today to fly back and who was in the seat 3 rows down from me - you got it, MLT. Spent a long time chatting to him at the bar while he was entertaining his 3 month old daughter about football in general - nothing contentious. Got off at Heathrow and was waiting for my baggage and he saw me and came over to wish me all the best and shook my hand. Just a gentleman!

Was lucky enough to be in Dubai last night and my thanks go to Phil & Eric for inviting me along to what turned out to be a really great night - albeit a fairly late one - was a bit tired today!! What happened last night just summed up what a great guy Matt was, I bit the bullet and asked him whether he could call my wife, and 2 daughters and say good night to them - 'no problem, delighted to' was the response and he was on the phone chatting to them for 22 min and 43 seconds (so my phone says). It really made their night that their hero spoke to them with genuine interest for so long - Well worth the £23 thecall will have cost my work!!) Matt Le Tissier a true legend and good guy! Off to watch tonights game with Phil and some other Dubai Saints tonight - please not another late one

Can anyone tell me what it's like sitting in the family centre? Is it a decent view? Had an ST behind the goal for years but as the adult/child pair prices for the family stand are so appealing I'm seriously thinking of moving. Would appreciate some views from those who've been there already, cheers...
-
Best guess is an adult and a kid aged eight or under.
-
It's actually cheaper to take a kid with you to a match than to go on your own...not forgetting the cost of a few litres of fizzy drink and extra hot dogs on match days of course!
-
Thank God for that, bring out the season tickets!

What do you expect when it appears our beloved club supposedly being bought by a man who made about £50,000 last year and still lives with his parents? When his amateur football club was contacted about the alleged takeover it appears that they were shocked that "Micky" was the man behind it. Hardly fills you with confidence does it? Where's the household name we were promised, where's the cash? I am as big a fan as anyone of MLT, doesn't mean it's not possible to pull the wool over his eyes!
