Don't worry MB, some of us appreciate you.

This story doesn't tie in very well with the Solent report this morning in which the reporter said he asked Fry if the Pinnacle group were back in the running and Fry's words were 'not as far as I'm concerned' and that he'd had no contact with them.

Was ART posting about people being nasty to Mike Wilde?

I would assume it was all cashed in when Leon was in charge and settled the installments for early payment.

Or Reid lied about it being the first he'd heard of it.

Nigel Pearson MLT's first choice?? where did that come from?
jam replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Strangely enough someone at the pub said this to me yesterday. When I questioned why he would leave Mad Milan funded Leicester, my mate said Pearson was out of there either way... I don't believe it myself and it wouldn't have me jumping for joy but there you go. -
I don't think Crouch's comments destroy our case, although they certainly don't help and gave Mawhinney a moral case why they should apply the penalty. If it went to court or arbitration or whatever then I think the following: - Crouch wasn't involved when the reverse takeover, SFC / SLH thing happened so he isn't qualified to judge the motives behind the action - The club and holding company setup predates the penalty rules by some years so it cant be argued that [we] were trying to evade the rules by setting up the club in this way. - (As far as I am aware) Crouch wasn't involved in the decision to put SLH into administration so his comments cant be taken as indicative of the then board's motivation. Incidently I don't believe that Crouch was trying to say that the REASON for the PLC setup was to evade the rules but rather that as a RESULT of the PLC setup the rules don't apply.

Mike, if last season's 'youth policy' had been implemented differently (mainly in terms of more experience to help the youngsters through but I'm over simplifying because I don't to start the same old argument again) and we'd been a bit more stable in the CCC, in your experience do you think that would have counted for anything in the eyes of he parents that you encounter?

This suggests the wealth of the mystery client to me. Is KK worth several hundred million?

Wasn't that more a case of not knowing / asking the identity of Mr / Mrs X?

Erm, shouldn't people be ****ed that Barclay's didn't see fit to see the club through to the end of the season before bouncing cheques rather than the fact that they're not dipping into their pockets to pay another company's wage bill? Surely it was blindingly obvious to everyone that when we went into admin people would stop getting paid? Just like any small business that trades with the club and is owed money is going to have to take a big hit at a time when they don't need it.

If I remember correctly he has a contract as First Team Coach until the end of June or July and if that isn't renewed he is happy to go back the the Academy Director role. Haven't a clue about salary though.

I think that was St. David for a while. What a card.

Ever since relegation the club has appeared to switch between banking MS or banking on Claus getting fit again and somehow becoming the heart of our defence and each season it didn't happen. You'd think the lesson would have learned the first time...

The daftest, most self-centred and most myopic rescue proposal yet..

Yes Southampton City Council should sell millions of pounds worth of investments in the middle of the worst economic downturn in decades because a private business couldn't run itself properly. Genious. -
Who is the curent (acting) Chairman of the Football Club? (not the PLC)
jam replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
As there are only two people on the football club board, which itself is only a temporary situation, is it not a bit farcical to appoint one of them as chairman? -
Billy Davies also has the pleasure of working with David Pleat at Forest.

This forum really gets me down. Must every thread about boardroom politics be hijacked by someone who is anti-Townsend?

Bring the Caps out for Bally - Burnley (H) 25/04
jam replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
I think you're thinking of the sadly departed scooby. Bless him, I have a flat cap and think it makes me look rather dapper..! Personally I agree with alehouseboys and Tony F that it'd be nice to remember AB on this day. As we have a home game on the actual anniversary why not take the opportuity to mark it? -
Mary Corbett felt "threatened" and "physically intimidated" by Lowe
jam replied to jonah's topic in The Saints
Two in fact. -
Has he, though? I mean, really? I'd prefer him to keep quiet about the protests and the line about 'wanting us to go down' was pretty ill-advised (even though there probably are a few out there who do). But it was the Echo who were this week basing their story around Connor's age, not Wotte. And the stuff about moaning and fans supporting the team... well there isn't a million miles of difference between things Wotte's said and things that Pearson said last year.
-
Wotte said the you can tell the real fans because they're still going and will be there tomorrow. You say you're going tomorrow. So according to Wotte's definition you're a real fan. Why are you upset again?

There have been a a few moans about it on the OS, basically saying the same things that you've said above. I appreciate if you don't want to post details but is there a story behind the departures of Hockaday and Webster? Or have they just been disappeared? Before Hockaday disappeared the conspiracy talk on here was that he was the man with Lowe's ear...

OS report of the game... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=11370 Oh and further down the page, something of mild interest. Apparently Pulis set up Mills for the second goal...
