Poch said in his first press conference that Forren was signed for the future not to go immediately into the team. As posted above, I'd assume he might get a go in the team once we're safe, otherwise it'll be up to how he does in preseason whether he becomes a first team starter or not.

Whereas I genuinely think that the Portsmouth City logo is offensively ugly and everybody involved in its commission should be made to sit in a dark room and think about what they've done.

Warnock reckoned the politics are ridiculous up there. Personally if I was Adkins, I'd feel more gutted about missing out on Sunderland (assuming they'd have had him).

Fortunately we tightened up as the season went on.

Well I certainly wouldn't have used a turn of phrase that suggested he passed the bread bowl in the wrong direction at the dinner table. We have home ends and away ends for a reason. If you decide to ignore that then you shouldn't expect any sympathy if some moron decides to make a target of you. Don't assume that because I or anyone else points out that away fans in home ends at football matches is asking for trouble then they automatically think that it's okay to just lay into people - far from it. But as you yourself point out, "football really can bring out the utter worst in people" and as methods of getting into bother go, sitting in the opposition end of a game is pretty much at the top of the list. If, as Maysie claims, the Chelsea fan simply went to jump up and the checked himself, them it sounds like he got unlucky but he put himself in that position. (Andobviously the person who lumped him deserves to be in a whole load of grief (and not just with the police if he really did have his kids with him).)

Was amusing on the underground on the way up as the Saints fans seemed far more excited about being there than the Carlisle fans (who, in fairness, were on their second or third trip in recent years). So much for the 'Southampton think they're too good for the lower leagues' charge that some people tried to level at us. I think after the previous few years, that day was just the icing on the cake.

Probably because United are so far clear at the top that they could probably field their reserve team for the rest of the season and still win the title while Chelsea are one point clear of Spuds and missing out on automatic qualification for the champions league.

How about making it more interesting and post our Lawro predictions and our preditions for the score itself? e.g. Lawro: Saints 0 - Chelsea 3 Me: Saints 2 - Chelsea 2

That's not the answer to the question he asked.

Thanks, Kraks, I am aware. Language evolves - the term racism seems to do for both now.

Yes. Useless **** = not racist Useless Polish **** = racist It's racist because his nationality is being added into an abusive/disparaging/judgemental statement. If there's any question about whether it's racist then you just need to ask what relevance is of being Polish is to Boruc being a useless **** in the mind of the person saying it, as it's completely redundant in this situation.

Just because you don't understand the point of a post doesn't mean it is trolling.

If I gave you a million pounds with the proviso that you had to bet it all on West Ham staying up or West Ham going down what would you do?

A bit that you're getting uppity about the rude and insulting manner of posts on this site considering your thread title and op...

Thanks for clearing this up, I was worried that it would be decided by a poll on this forum and we all know that it isn't as good on here as it used to be.

Yup, complete rubbish. The fact that NC replaced Adkins with what seems like the first available and suitable candidate makes TheDellDays look like a complete knob.

I imagine it would also be a potential selling point for advertisers. Much easier to make a case that adverts will be read if supporters are already looking at the boards to see their messages.

Would that be a certain former fans favourite's first return to SMS?

Protests, booing, boycotts are Not going to Help us Move on
jam replied to Crowds's topic in The Saints
Quite right. It's far more important to support a Premier League club than one that has heart and class and treats people with respect. -
Any excuse to post this:

That's the point - Sunderland was a huge game. If we'd have beaten them we'd be 14th. As it was Sunderland seem to have stopped the rot and now have a little cushion.
