What is this dubious past reporting that you speak of?
-
And what sort of money have they made from it? Are these websites now self funding? I was referring specifically to the Echo. Correct me if I'm wrong but the website is paid for or at least subsidised by the paper.
-
I don't know about printing but on the Saints page on the echo website there are the following rather positive stories all published this week: http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4782013.Saints_building_for_the_future/ http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4786454.Lambert_on_course_to_join_the_most_illustrious_of_Saints_lists/ http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4789234.Saints_could_burst_into_top_half/.

I've not heard of a single newspaper that makes an income from their website. No paper - no website.
-
Are you seriously having a moan because the local newspaper has printed a news story at the point when it was news as opposed to when it happened to suit another local business? We've had a few threads on here saying the echo doesn't report news properly any more and when they do people get on there case for that...

Thomas played a home game at right back and I felt he did very well. A bit annoying as I'd slated him as a right back a couple of day previous... He gives is a bit more height too. On the other side he is nowhere near as good as Murty or James going forward.

Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)

Swings and roundabouts. We had to sell to stay afloat because we were in admin so couldn't bring money in through season ticket sales. These went on sale later and receipts would not have been used to fund the club through the summer. -
I don't think you're technically being negative here. The capacity issue especially is a good point.

Bit dodgy of New Forest district council to put the name and address of an objector online.

Do you mean this page? http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1900274,00.html

Any truth in the rumour that it was a birthday card for Paul Allen?
-
This is the scariest post I have read on here in a long time.
-
You're an admin; can you get the bit in bold posted at the top of the forum or something? I find the blasé attitude towards Marcus' money that often gets expressed on here to be quite astounding.

Cortese offers you £5m on Jan 1st...what would you do?

Yep. Probably because I don't know many right-backs but I really enjoyed watching Ifil play when he was here. -
Indeed. Never mess with the 'shot.

There seems to be a habit on here (I can't comment about anywhere else) that when young players break through into the team they should immediately hit and sustain great form. Surman and Spiderman had the same treatment. To me it's inevitable that most players will have to take a while to make the step up to pro football. I wonder if because we had Bale and Walcott in quick succession and didn't get to see the form of either of them drop off that the expectation level has been raised.

They're away to Brentford. Does it matter to us either way?
-
Maybe next season, when we're in the Championship...
-
He seems to be taking his chance at a club in the division above us...
-
Yes you're right. I'd be really worried if we went and won 3 on the bounce and then lost at home to Brighton or something.
-
I would say actually in the prem and regular sellouts. Those two would make a match day ticket something sought after again.

The Dome is new-ish and for the size of it, I imagine relatively cheap to build. The buildings: the changing rooms, etc. look a bit archaic. Like an old sixties community centre. Although I have to say, back in the day, the catering for fans was significantly better than that at The Dell...

I believe that it's been posted on here that BTs part in the Sturrock's exit has been rather exaggerated and it was actually a more senior player who knocked on Lowe's door.

I think you've answered your own question.
