I'm sure Alpine Saint can defend himself but I read his post as criticising those who were booing NC.
-
That's all right then, if you all went to a game seven years ago. Puts us ST holders to shame!

Thank heavens the JPT journey is over this weekend

The novelty value of being a big club and winning lots of games is all well and good but if we don't get promoted this or next season then there won't be much to be happy about at all. -
Looks like him but that photo is months old.

Martin Samuel, Daily Mail on Coretese: "self serving" and a "buffoon"
jam replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Thanks for the link. I'm pretty sure that this article is what Martin Samuel is basing his rant piece on. -
He said we were debt-free. That doesn't mean that the debts were paid off in full - only settled.

Exciting young Saints players who have not made the grade

So was McGoldrick -
I seem to recall an article a few months back that suggested that Thomas wasn't injured as much as we were led to believe.

Rafa Benitez?

apparently they've got an eye on the world cup re. the upper tier. I assume it was cheaper to get the whole lot done at once. Bloody weird atmosphere though - I thought they'd be better off putting black netting up to hide all the empty space. For those who weren't there, imagine St Mary's last season with the corners closed but then add an entire tier of stands on three sides.
-
Plus the away fans would have to walk past several other pubs to get there...
-
Eew... that's a bit freaky.

I agree he did seem a bit shaky after the Brighton game and maybe that's what did for him here but I also thought that Jaidi started to make a few howlers at around that time. I think Jaidi is immense but sometimes seems to make odd or bad decisions. From looking at how Fonte seems to organise the defence I wonder if he would have been able to bring out the best in Trotman.

Rasiak and Saga never played together. Never worked. Saga started off with Jones (who was clearly better than Rasiak) and otherwise partnered Best. Point is Rasiak was dropped because he hadn't been scoring. (unless there is truth in TDD's rumours, but the form book seems reason enough)
-
After Tuesday it's possibly an unfortunate suggestion but would you take Trotman back (to partner Fonte) if he became available?
-
Fitzhugh Fella posted an amusing story about being at a dinner near to a group of Scotland fans, who were complaining about the nerve of our chairman to get compensation out of them for Burley (Crouch was sat at the table at the time). With hindsight Scotland certainly got us out of a fix.
-
Rasiak went five games without scoring. Saga came in and went on an excellent run. What's strange about it?
-
In fairness, if you're paying for most of it then should should be entitled to a few hours off if you want.
-
Any chance of telling us where this good Jaidi article is..?
-
Was he ripping his shirt in celebration or disgust?

Make the play offs this season or league 1 champions next season.
jam replied to bjk's topic in The Saints
And of course there is the other bonus of being in the championship next year... -
Rather than throwing him out they should have popped him down in a nice seat so he could enjoy it with the rest of us.

In fairness, making the playoffs and winning them would be the same thing for us. -
I think that simply reaching the play offs give a certain mark of success to a season. It's been the case for a while that for us to reach the play offs we'd have had to be in formidable form. Add in the fact that Pardew seems to do well in tournaments so I'd have fancied our chances.
