  1. Antonio's from South London. A move back there might appeal for that reason (aside from the fact that Charlton are a big side in this league).
  2. I think most of that was in the boardroom.
  3. So why do you think Blackmore said what he did?
  4. check the 'remember me' box when you log in. Shouldn't time out then.
  5. People said the same about Baird and similar about Bale. They're doing alright now, wouldn't you say?
  6. Exactly. Players don't go to Celtic for the away trip to Montrose, they go for the home games in front of fifty odd thousand fans and European football. If Celtic were interested in Lambert then he'd be daft not to think about it. Puncheon is a slightly different case...
  7. This is untrue. Rumour has it that Rooney has a clause in his contract that he will be first choice striker next season.
  8. Can't help feeling that JP was the least of our problems last year. Good luck to him.
  9. Sorry - missed the big winky on your post! (and couldn't see a blushing one for myself...)
  10. That table doesn't appear to take the circumstances at the club into account (existing squad, money to spend, that sort of thing). It's also a short time period so to me misleading. For example, would anyone suggest that (all things considered) Benitez has performed better than Moyes this season?
  11. I like Papa as well. But I get the impression that Pardew don't.
  12. Burley gave him his debut, then he got injured and wasn't fit again until Pearson was here.
  13. Where does it say there about a fee being agreed? The option could simply be first refusal for all you know. Secondly, I don't need to prove anything. You were going on about it being nothing to do with Reading except for agreeing compensation, which was clearly wrong.
  14. You know that you're not making a good argument for Trader not being a fruitcake, don't you?
  15. Not saying you're wrong but that doesn't really tie in with the £1million+ fee that we're supposed to have payed for Fonte. Unless we simply didn't want them that badly.
  16. Of course he is. Just like he was sure that Reading didn't have any say in Antonio's future.
  17. Are you having a laugh?
  18. Just the players? What about the manager?
  19. Nice idea, Phil but I get the impression that NickH isn't a big AP fan so might not be wishing to dish out much advice
  20. I think it's the suggestion that we'd pay £1million for him that's the problem and the potential wages if that fee is accurate.
  21. Someone actually phoned in 606 to make that case a few weeks back. Surely the fact that they put him on air is proof that the BBC hates us.
  22. I like the fact that putting Antonio on is like chucking a hand grenade into the mix. It'd be a shame if he doesn't play for us next season, I've found it a pleasure to watch his development.
  23. Antonio saying he'd be more than happy to stay here does not mean he'd prefer to be here than Reading.
  24. Don't suppose it's part of the game plan? Like cricket, send in a bunch of fast ones then fool em with a slow ball? Thought not...
