Yesterday was the first time that we faced a team that saw Chambo as one of our key players and we weren't helped by Lallana being absent. We need to work out a way to counter this and quickly.

I don't think County came for a draw and certainly almost got themselves a winner. Agree that they were organised and hard working, I'm more concerned that we didn't couldn't outwit them. It was obvious that they would let us have the ball until the final third but we kept running at them, losing the ball and letting someone else repeat the same thing.

We do have Dickson and Puncheon who can play wide left...

I feel bad for Trotman as he was decent for us in the first half of last season and we've now stuck eleven goals past him in two games.

And Chaplow, Fonte, Davis, Connolly and Jaidi didn't even feature. Sucks to be a saint right now...

I agree that today he was better than against Exeter but he had some really, really good moments against Huddersfield (along with several others on the team), it feels like the real Morgan is back. Hopefully he will sort his shooting boots out as this is something that I feel he really needs. Agree also about teams not being able to cope with our midfield but to borrow a phrase from the Adkinsonary - and what about Jason Puncheon, to come back into the side and put in a performance like that?

You've described Lambert as well. Now they're both coming good - hurrah for us!

In fairness I don't think many would have predicted Puncheon coming back, Adkins starting him and then the excellent, hard working team performance that the player put in. One of the many highlights of the afternoon for me.

Spot on. Very little incentive for Blackpool fans to make the journey when they have games like Liverpool coming up. If I was one of them I'd be a little ****ed off with the performance that their club offered today. We were significantly better than them but they were poor. I think it actually sums up the difference between the likes of Arsenal, Manchester Utd. and Chelsea playing weakened teams in the cups - the big clubs have the players to do it and can use these games to blood their young prospects whilst still providing a competitive match - Blackpool cant.

I'd be surprised if Adkins starts both Barnard and Lambert. If he wants to rest Guly then maybe give Connolly a start?

I think we saw a lot more of the real Morgan on Saturday, after Lambert scored. I'd like to see him with more of an attacking brief as I think he's wasted in the deeper role.

Cortese wasn't talking about signing Austin per se, just using him as an example to say that WE should be taking the pick of any local talent.

The goal was a great sign as he had no time to linger, just turn and shoot. I think it actually gave the whole team a lift.

His finishing was woeful but I'd settle for him not scoring again this season if he has the same impact on games as he did today!

He made some really nice touches to work the ball into space and move the play about. Hopefully it will be the start of a return to form for him. I'd actually like to see him pushed forward and have Hammond in the anchor role.

I noticed that Adkins pulled Morgan aside to have a word when he was subbed. Hopefully he got across that the game was won and there was no reason to risk him getting injured or suspended.
