  1. Think it currently needs an 18 goal swing...
  2. Deary me. They've even repeated the typos...
  3. Fair play, sounds like some interesting times!
  4. So how did you end up with Saints?
  5. I'd agree but that also seems to be where Guly fits best.
  6. Lambert said much the same thing about his fitness, performance and confidence in an interview before Christmas. I'd love to know the actual truth behind about the 'injured in pre-season' story, as it's surely had a massive effect on our season.
  7. Most teams should give us a guard of honour just out of gratitude for the opportunity to play us. I imagine it's another reason why teams raise their game against us as they're desperate for us to grace this division for as long as possible. That's fair enough this lack of respect from small clubs is getting ridiculous. At least Doncaster gave us a picture of a train...
  8. Isn't there supposed to be a tasty rivalry between the Bristol teams?

    Dell Seats

Audience gantry for the subbuteo setup.
  10. Could I just go back to the playoff season and put everything I have on us to win 0-6 at Wolves?
  11. This. The more I hear about Brighton fans going on the more I think of this. I really hate this victim mentality that seems to pervade football nowadays.
  12. I'm caught between amused and sickened...
  13. If that's true. Besides there could be loads of other factors to consider there. (I assume you're referring to the JP thread?)
  14. While I hope he stays, is it so far fetched that NC and another club, be it Manchester Utd or Arse, have done a deal for AOC to move at the end of the season? That way all parties are happy. The destination club get their player and if it is a top club then he wouldn't feature this season anyway so they aren't inconvenienced. AOC gets his move without kicking up a fuss and the opportunity to play a few more games here. We get to keep him for the run in and not lose any face by selling another starlet at the first opportunity. If course, If I was the buying club then I'd want some sort of assurance that if he had any sort of injury then he'd be nowhere near the first team squad...
  15. Have you seen the black monstrosity that someone's posted further up this thread? Having said that, I can't stand the 1974 badge either...
  16. That's what you get for listening to talksport.
  17. I think it also shows who's to blame that we haven't been promoted and win the league this year.
  18. Would you give a shyte if I told you that they will be selling better beer than us next season?
  19. N'Guessan looked quite interesting when he came on. A bit more direct.
  20. I think there's a lot of truth in this although some might not like it being said.
  21. In honestly I don't find it that frustrating, in fact I find it more frustrating when Lambert misses a chance, because of how good his finishing was last year. Look, it's annoying when anyone misses a good chance, obviously but there are definitely people in the crowd who are just waiting to get on his case. Case in point on Saturday is the guy in front of me shouted 'get him off' about two minutes into the game. I think it was the Huddersfield game when he missed a bunch of chances but he also set up two or three of our goals, we played a brilliant game and he was a central part of that and people came away from it saying he's ****. I think that is mental. When played in the right position Guly is great to watch, and makes things happen. The trade off is he's not that consistent a finisher. I can live with the poor finishing because of his other strengths. And I hate it when people come out with this phrase so apologies for using it now, but if he was a great (decent?) finisher in addition to the rest of his game, he simply wouldn't be here.
  22. That's a very interesting figure...
  23. Had most of the midfield been able to stay fit
  24. I think Davis has been just about faultless in the last few home games (can't speak for aways). His distribution is quicker and more varied and he is claiming a lot more crosses. I'd like to know what the situation is with the goalkeeping coaching at the club. IIRC someone (Patred?) believed that we didn't even have a specialist goalkeeping coach at the beginning of the season. I'm particularly pleased for him and also Harding to make the team.
