Butlins it is!

That be Guly. Jaidi comes out earlier.
-
Anyone would think that we'd been told to protect him until the summer...
-
A regular starter for one of the top clubs in Europe and an England international?
-
Maybe just remind them how pitiful their home support is?
-
I thought his appearance today had a farewell feel to it. Good to read some of the posts on here suggesting he's not going anywhere. That boy is going to get better and better.
-
Quite. I've seen him make some excellent tackles over the last two seasons. If I have any criticism of Morgan, it's that sometimes he doesn't look up for it. In the big games he's shown time and again that he's up to the job, I wonder if sometimes he can't be bothered with the 'nothing' games.

Adkins might well make big changes but I wouldnt want him announcing the fact in advance.

We may well be in a better place with NA but if there is any truth in the notion that Pardew and Ashley had come to an agreement about the Newcastle job then doesn't it bother you that our season was threatened so that Ashley could save on paying out compensation to us? -

I know it's been a pleasure to watch the team really come together. We've been tight at the back but also really smart. Adkins kept saying we were chipping away and he was right, get the win done and keep one eye on the next game. I remember the Tuesday night home game against Yeovil. We were winning - in control but not really pushing it and I knew then that the players were just seeing it out and making sure they didn't do anything to disrupt the more important game coming up - away to Bournemouth. Not sure if it's the 'Southampton Way' of old, but it's good stuff and I'm enjoying it. -

Weirdly, I actually find it more annoying than stressful now. I guess because our style of play seems to be really geared around control and clean sheets... -
Should we be at all concerned about Nigel Adkins leaving?

Actually if you delve a little deeper it might still be the daftest thread ever -

Sorry TDD but when I read this it seems like you're suggesting FF of arrogance for deciding people 'deserve to know what may not have actually happened'. Surely it would be more arrogant for him to decide that people didn't deserve to know and keep things to himself? Fair enough if people don't want to know stuff, maybe it is gossip but surely it's fairer for people to share things and the rest of us make the decision for ourselves? -

Were we playing yesterday afternoon then? -
Does higher capacity + attendance = higher sponsorship revenue?
-
If Adkins gets us to the Prem then I expect he'll have a squad of players who are playing for him as he surely will have earned kudos for steering us up two divisions. I get the feeling that he has the tactical knowledge to do well, providing he has the players to work with.
-
I'm going by the assertion that others have made that we were regularly selling out in the Prem; was this not the case? (I stopped going after the first season at SMS so have to trust what others are saying on this one.)
-
Wigan are a funny case from what I understand. It's basically not a football town and Dave Whelan has bankrolled them to the prem to try and generate something. I think they will go the London route of higher prices; it only seems to be the northern clubs who keep the prices really low. If we get to the Prem then we will sell out at those prices as people will come out of the woodwork to pay them.
-
Meh, you started it with the hypotheticals...
-
Maybe more of a crucial rather than a defining moment but I'd agree with those who said the Huddersfield home win. More than any other game we would not get promotion without it.
-
The attendances have been really good this year, which is great. It does seem a shame that more people can't go regularly - certainly loads were interested enough to go to Wemberley. Obviously there are loads of reasons why some can't make it more often. I just get a real buzz when the place is full.
-
You got saved by the fixture computer - look how Bournemouth went off the rails once we were done with them. If if we'd played you in March you'd have been desperately trying to scrape into the playoffs.

The JPT, Different clubs, Being a big club, Having the best players in the division, Expecting to win most games, Watching the league leaders coming to our place and hanging on for a draw Being able to see youth teamers get the chance to make a real impact in the team Having respect for away fans Being able to arrive late and just grab a seat Having players on the team who actually seem to care about the club Enjoying watching football again

I'd assume Plymouth fans would be less tolerant of Saints in the home end than geordies, no?
