Hardly spontaneous but still cool..

Buy or borrow a phrasebook, the Turks are like the French- even if you only learn 'hello' or 'thank you' they really appreciate you trying. Try a day trip on a gulet (pleasure boat), you can haggle a good price at the quayside and the coast and nearby bays are terrific.

An excellent and entertaining evening, well done to all concerned, thanks chaps! (And special thanks to FF/Dunc for sorting out my extra ticket) Hope the book has the success it deserves.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21998112 Wonder if Nigel should have waited a bit longer for his new club...

"3-2 Saints, same score line we beat them by in the last season at the Dell." Yeah, remember that - we were 2-0 up and they equalised with about 10 min to go, got the '2-0 and you f*****d it up' chant, then Beatts scored in the 90th! Cue ' 2 all and you f*****d it up!' Same again would be good....

I was at the Cardiff Boro game today, I didn't think Cardiff were all that. Boro were much the better team, though their keeper was a bit 'Bart' today. We should finish above both of them - guess that puts them 18th and 19th

Alan Ball?

I would have thought that Birds of a Feather's Linda Robson was a Millwall fan?

Your friend's kid will need a ticket, if all 3 of you want to sit together you will have to move. The ticket office will exchange your ST's for the new seats but you will have to hand them in for the duration of the game of football.

I was at the box office this morning and was told that 24k had been sold, don't know if that includes away fans though.

Almost true, I believe it was a locally based RAF P-40, which subsequently landed with one wing a couple of feet shorter than the other! Probably looked like this!

Anders against Spuds in the 03 Cup run Riise's 25 yard header v Liverpool (02 ish?) was pretty good! :-)
-
Think that was v Ipswich in the last season there, Stuart Grays first game after Hoddle left? And what club could match the atmosphere at Matty's testimonial?
-
(Aside from the goal, I can't actually remember them having any other chances.) Don't forget the shot which led to Kelvin's fingertip save...

I was watching the shooting practice v Bart at the Chapel end pre-match. About 70% of the shots ended up in row Z, poor Bart barely touched a ball and as you said, everyone looked a bit grim, not a smile amongst them. Even then I thought 'we are going to lose' :-(

It's Pulis... He obviously wants to manage us, thats why Stoke consists almost entirely of ex-Saints. His son has been fermenting trouble to get AP sacked.. Dad makes his move!

I am not ashamed to say that I shed a tear or two this afternoon outside the Stadium when I read some of the wonderful tributes dedicated to the man. They were more eloquent than anything I can add so I would just like to say 'Thank you Markus' from me, my family and the Southampton FC family and deepest condolences to the Leibherrs.. I am sure you will be looking down on us and taking pictures as we build on your foundations to take the Saints up where we belong RIP Sir
