  1. Wat's in Che's best interests is to secure a long term contract at Premier League wages (no relegation pay cut clause) but will he get this in this window?
  2. Would Harvey Elliott like to come on loan as well? 😀
  3. I think the names of the two characters in the picture are cArrie and Bo. If Aribo moves on in this transfer window I'll become a believer in the CoT
  4. Game 2pm SUNDAY. Saints ticket sales windows, and making the announcement before the prices have been set, suggests to me they've been told if we sell out we can have some more. However I don't think the tickets will go that fast.
  5. Basically agree with Hypo about this. It's what constitutes an 'acceptable offer' is the big issue. I would say we need to net at least £5m in fee/saved wages to afford to get someone in (almost certainly on loan) who is at least Che's equal and who needs to make an impression, e.g. to secure a good contract or to get into their national team squad for the Euros.
  6. Whoops I meant 3 🙃
  7. So 17 PL clubs have told Che's agent they have no interest and 2 have been more polite 😀
  8. I thought Sekou had a reasonable game yesterday, certainly didn't notice any 'laziness'. He's obviously not yet up to being a regular starter in the Championship but he ain't going to get any better unless we play him. Definitely a player with potential and worth persevering with given he's still only 21.
  9. Opta have both Ipswich and us picking up 36 points from 22 games. That's something like 10 wins 6 draws and 6 losses. I'll be disappointed if we can't beat that total. Whether we'll get enough points for the top two is obviously very much in doubt but I'll bet 85 (the figure implied by Opta) won't be enough.
  10. He certainly came over as respectful to Swansea, which impressed me. An act or not I think it shows a manager with a bit of class. Certainly hasn't reached Nigel's status yet but if can get us promoted .................
  11. I think Martin's reaction was more likely related to whatever previous interviews he had given last night. He was very defensive from the start and I can only guess what his body language was like. He, the team and most importantly us fans need a comfortable win or two ASAP
  12. According to my son he has (Not ITK )
  13. As far as I understand the rumours, it's that they're not offering as much as £7m up front, i.e. definitely under half the supposed £15m. I seriously wonder whether the £15m includes various add-ons which, given how hopeless Everton have looked so far this season, would never be due.
  14. No. Would only attract negative press
  15. Don't doubt there is a lot of truth in the Fulham story but it's all dependent on other moves and then them getting close to our valuation. I don't think 'close to £30m ' will be enough for them to win the race.
  16. I think the words missed out of that headline are 'on the cheap'. Sure we'd love Tella back but also if they make us a good offer we will accept.
  17. Just got there before me KK. I watched lot of the game, without being harsh generally a lamentably poor standard of football, even our lot would have had a good chance of winning :). Josh Sims actually looked ok, CDAJFU?
  18. Tyler Dibling played for England 1-0 win vs Croatia tonight in the Euro U17 championships. Shame he's not available for a runout on Sunday.
  19. I see the U 18's won their final game this afternoon, 5-1 against Arsenal with a Ballard hattrick. Surely it would be worth putting him , and perhaps 1 or 2 of the others on the bench for the last few first team games. They can't do worse than our usual subs!
  20. I think the most disappointing for me was Bournemouth at home, we should have been fighting for our lives but were so flat for over two thirds of the game. Objectively it's a toss up for worst performance between Forest and Wolves at home. Forest looked poor yet managed to win comfortably whilst losing to a Wolves team who played with 10 men for over an hour (and were 1-0 down !) is indefensible
  21. I see West Ham won the Youth Cup final tonight, winning 5-1 at the Emirates so perhaps our 1-6 at their place wasn't so bad?
  22. Agreed, now unlikely to be 'officially' relegated in April but unless we get a win by then as we play Forest in the last game of that weekend we could be mathematically down before kick off and quite likely down by the final whistle.
  23. Virtually impossible for us to be relegated before May! If you mean 'as good as relegated ' then I think Bournemouth is most likely to be the occasion we visit the 'last chance saloon'
  24. The team we're playing next week looking pretty good today 🙃
  25. I also agree that it's very unlikely that we stay up. I think with our GD 37 points is the minimum. If we 'write off' the Man C ,Arsenal and Newcastle games that would mean we have to get 14 points (4 wins 2 draws) from the other 7 games, a massively tall order!
