  1. last reply, but to show you dont understand the arguement pls read this carefully and tell me what the 'headline' or 'advertised' price is for the wigan game http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2862691,00.html now try to explain to a child who also has 3/4 other brothers for his father to pay for(no me thankfull) that it actually costs more than what they have said by quite some way
  2. 'dont be nieve' - stupid comment of course yes they will add it to price, i stated that in my comment i.e including all costs! then we get the choice to take it or leave it, we get to compare straight up prices not spend half our life looking at the small print trying to work out who is charging us for what, anything else is trying to con people into think the cost of something is less than it actually is, therefore a fraud
  3. no we are not and it will only be a matter of time before the law reflects it! the goverment is already on the case in respect to the airlines and they will suceed and it will filter down to all business types. you advertise a price for a service or goods, if you cant include all cost assosiated to your business in that price thats your problem, its a fraud to advertise a price and then have extra charges in the small print that are compolsory! just because everyone does it doesnt mean we all have to act like leamings and put up with it.
  4. quite simply there are two ways of looking at these things. one is to look at the sucesses of a particular player, which is the way you are looking at things, quite easy when a team has just been promoted and therfore playing well as a team. the other is to look at the players weaknesses that they showed at a lower level and show concerns with how they will cope with the step up. the later arguements are easier with kelvin and in particular fox than they are with richardson but it depends on the way you look at the upcoming season i guess.
  5. i think if you look back at any of the links on this thread we are well past the term 'gossip' on this one
  6. i bet they only name one, just to finish it correctly
  7. ive looked at lots of bits of this thread since the release and am getting confused by some of the arguements, most obvious being we play in red and white stripes. we clearly havent played in red and white stripes for much of our history, and maybe have no need to (i for one loved the sash, that really did give us an individuality from any other club in england, would have been very happy to see it stay) but people still argue and to a point have every right to. but as fans can we at least agree that we god damn play in red and white in its various forms and that this current aberration has no resemblance to any part of the history of our club, no link to the one thing that we do agree on which is the love of this club. it quite simply does not belong. and for those that say it does have white, even without seeing it in person i challenge you to take someone who has no idea of this arguement to look at the kit from the same distance as looking from the itchen to the kingsland and ask them the colours in the kit, i bet the
  8. was actually thinking of going this year with the added extra of the olympic torch but at those prices they can take a running jump, they really need to get a grip of pricing for friendlys and cup games against weak teams, sure they should already notice this by the empty ground at these games.
  9. 1. utd 2. city 3. arsenal 18. wigan 19. wba 20. reading saints. somewhere inbetween
  10. not going to argue with the points but offer opposing views the diamond was used but as a means for regaining control of the football and not part of our free flowing goal scoring routeen, add to that the 25 or so goals that our midfielders scored will be somewhat reduced, a new(or existing) goal scorer from midfield is probably still needed. indeed morgan was the player who broke up play the most effectively but i would suggest it was due to guile rather than being a sheer presence, hence why i suggest it would be considered lightweight. i think we need a sheer monster that can sit in that position when needed, in the mould of arsenal's song or chelsea's essien but they are not easy to get hold of.
  11. There is lot smoke around the idea of signing Matt Jarvis from Wolves, and although its widely regarded he is played as a wide left player we think either him or Lallana could play on the right or left effectively. Another lot of speculation regards a player who ive felt for the last year would fit in perfectly with our squad and style of play which is Robert Snodgrass. Further reports on Sky Sports suggest he will not be staying with Leeds and is a player probably well within our budget and a attractive prospect for him. He is another player he plays mainly on the left but could easily play on the right as we like our players to cut in field. If we were able to get both players, both would expect to start more often than not so could Lallana sep up to play the attacking, goal scoring midfield role we think we need or would it leave our centre of the park looking lightweigh with Adam and Morgan? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11688/7770570/Snodgrass-questions-Leeds-plans
  12. i noticed it is rickie but surprised so few others didnt legend and scotty i said i was in the coxford ward, not coxford;)
  13. living in the ward im surprised there wasnt more than 39 people stupid enough to realise it wasnt SRL!
  14. as everyone has said managers above all else will be key. gutted the villa have sack the idiot cause i had them being in a real fight, might change with the right appointement. norwich and swansea are likely to have the second season syndrome which showed already with there later season form being distorted by last day wins in a league position sence. if blackpool go up, they will come straight back down, wham probably will be able to do enough if they win so im going like this wigan down no mater what blackpool if promoted saints, reading, norwich, swansea, villa, wba to contest the 1/2 places and it wont be pretty
  15. didnt wham buy the portsmouth goalkeeper as a loan to be made perminate at the end of season but with the whole fee paid upfront. adds more to the idea that it was just and illegal payment to keep the skates afloat and keep the 6 points they had already gained from them when we had only 1
  16. why not, theres only one team in hampshire
  17. i dont know any portuguese so cant comment on translation but anybody who has seen enough games at st marys will know that gulys name is one of the most frequently sung names so this forums contempt for him is probably not a good representation of the fan base as a hole on this matter
  18. i like the way they say that there IS a release clause but COULD be prepared to sell him!
  19. so if we draw 0v0 and wham win 3v0 they are second, if they only win by +3 they have to score any extra goal for every one we have scored i.e 1v1 needs a 4v1 win, 2v2 - 5v2 etc if we draw then any wham win by +4 its all over for us **** this could get mental!!!!
  20. jos has been great but if we stick to the op statement it was a jos header that not for the first time was not directed away from goal or have any real distance allowing baily to get a stike at the goal, compounded by the cm pairing being nowhere to be seen at an important stage of the game and chaplow turning away from the shot rather than putting his body on the line for the team. sounds a lot like a game a few weeks ago which also cost us an important game, so as well as cloaning morgan we probably need a monster cb ala jaidi, oh and some fullbacks and a right midfielder pls
  21. id suggest that it was that most of our possession was back passes and long punts forward, the pitch stopped the one touch control and turn to be able to play the ball forward with any class. this doesnt change the fact that the players didnt look bothered, mostly put in very little effort and that butterfield played like his legs were no longer able to play football, what foxs excuse was i dont know and question marks surely have to start being asked about the purchase of sharpe,he is not showing signs of fitting into the saints style of play hopefully just a bad day at the office and not a sign of a new slump in form due to nerves
  22. is this in comparison to connelly and barnard, maybe jack cork, morgan or lallana? we dont have a physical looking squad, bar rickie and is probably an aspect missing from our game that would require a big change in the game plan. i wouldnt object to having(for serious want of a better discription) 'a big black man' type player as a holding midfielder to do the grunt work breaking up play and allowing our forward players more freedom. p.s please take comment as a sterotype and nothing else
  23. why do most seem to think it was at best a soft penalty, the player had his arms away from his body and infront, yes ball to hand but they were put in a position where they could block the cross and would be considered not the natual position of the arms so 100% pen.
  24. first one was as clear a penalty as you will ever see and red card, lallana's should have been a corner, and the one given was never harsh as stated on sky sports, they should also have had a penalty late on but as they should have played 75% of the game with 10 and 1 down i dont care!
