We can all agree how bad these players are, how far the club has fallen but i cant be the only person who spotted that the lines for the offside in the lead up to the first penalty were clearly wrong. They marked the attacking players foot when his body was massively leaning forward and a long way past his foot. Unfortunately the VAR cant be blamed for the second penalty as what are they going to do, i dont think there is any part of the rules that says they can bring the ref to look at how much of a prick he has been for giving a penalty like that, they look and have to say no clear and obvious error but you have embarrassed yourself almost as much as the saints players there ref!

I think Selles first aim has to be achieving an average of 1 point a game. That has to be target number 1 for achieving some respectability for the season and give him a good chance of gaining the role for next season. If he can make a good dent on that total (16 points) quite quickly, something like 9 points by the end of the Brentford game(not entirely out of the realms of possibility including the Chelsea game) we would have a real chance of staying up. I'm thinking unless form changes drastically across the league 36 might just squeeze safety. A win tomorrow and a couple of useful other results will see a dramatic shift in the betting for us to get relegated i would suggest.

Lets just hope the squad have to keep putting their hands in their pockets for a new suit the rest of the season.

Chelsea were poor - fact . They still had us on edge for a long period and we only survived with great desire and last ditch defending which was great to finally see. You can get everything right and lose, win and not get everything right thats football. Almost everyone would tell you Bednerak and Moi should not be near the first team or do you want to argue that. If charley would have played instead of Moi i can think of a couple of times in the second half im pretty sure he would have created a guilt edge chance or better that Moi just basically passed back to Chelsea. I'm not saying Ruben shouldn't be given a chance just that so many calling for it to be a done deal after one great result is an over reaction and i tried to give a balanced opinion that didn't come across as being negative as i have been very negative to this club for quite a while (with good reason) and i dont like being that way. As for what i want to see, i want to see a manager that doesn't make the same mistakes we have been moaning about for a few years, the same mistakes, you can get away with them once or twice but not for a whole season so rather than jump in with both feet on just adrenaline let enjoy a great result, move on to Leeds with great hope, support the lads and hope that we have stumbled on a winning formula. Then this forum can get back to what it does best, discussing the pros and cons of masturbating domestic pets.

Far too premature just to be saying give him the job, Chelsea are also a poor team at the moment and of course there is the obvious issues with the caretaker manager not transitioning into a good manager on far too many occasions. Lets break down what i think so far Press work - top notch, not even taking account of what he's being based against, he has spoken very well Team selection - Questionable. I understand the KWP being left out, that's fine coming back from injury but Bednarek and Elyounoussi, I'm sorry just no. Moi proved again how he is just a waste of a shirt and all that can be said of Jonny B is we didn't notice he was in the game, that was enough for today. Performance - The players played today, worked as a team, worked hard and had quality at times as well. Definite change of style, possession stats in the first half were quite even and we moved the ball well at times. Desire was there to keep a clean sheet and Bazunu showed more confidence than he has in many matches. Substitutions - timing was great, maybe what allowed us to keep the lead. Wasn't happy that Moi and AMN stayed on. I understand that the front line were tiring but i think AMN was an accident waiting to happen and KWP would have provided good energy and Moi was so wasteful they may have been more important changes , tall Paul's race was clearly run. So the Leeds game is massive, we win and he probably has to have more games maybe even the end of the season, lose and its anybody's guess. Something also needs to be said about DCC and Orsic if at all possible(i.e not some disciplinary process), we cant afford to waste talent.

Its like every time we think we have an opportunity to start a new the club come along with a sledge hammer to smack us round the face/put us in our place and then smack us from behind with a wreaking ball. I really just think i've had enough of supporting this club after the last 5 years. You truly couldn't make it up!

Im liking the sound of this pigeon, do we have any stats, a complete bio?
-
I can see 20 points out of those games if we play the right players in the right positions and the play somewhere to their potential whilst doing so. Id say that is definitely touch and go for survival but i also believe the required total will be low compared to normal.
-
And here we go again, exactly the same as with Ralph in charge, we are on the cusp of getting rid of them and they luck into a result that then gives us another 2/3 months of complete and dire shit. I dont care what people say about me, id rather lose this game and get rid of him then get 1 result and then have to put up with this muppet any longer!

Nothing this man can do will ever change my mind, im not a Man Utd, Liverpool fan i dont just support this club for results and to brag about them. I want to feel good about my club, i want to feel we try to do things the right way, id hope that our fan base would never sell our soul like Newcastle fans and cry and fight to get owners with morals like theirs. The poor football is definitely not helping but i hate Jones on a personal level. I hate the way he talks, i hate the ways hes all about me(his use of pronouns in public conferences). He threw a 19 year old who is arguably been are standout player under a bus, what type of person does that. He did nothing to suggest he had earned the role. He is deluded, possibly mentally unstable has shown nothing in public that suggests he is at all likable and his football is shit with poor results. I hate having him attached to the football club ive loved for many years and want him gone, end of.

If we fail to get this moron out of our club soon Id suggest we all reference how good our protests against Branfoot and Lowe were over and over again just to see if the result changes.
-
I dont think this is just another angle its probably the most pertinent. We can debate football till the cows come home, its all options but this man came as close to literally having a breakdown in front of our eyes as any one of us have ever seen from a professional sports person. He CAN NOT be allowed to hold another press conference He CAN NOT be allowed to stand on the side line of a football pitch for the foreseeable future You will literally be setting this man up to be destroyed in public and all for the sack of saving their own faces.

I don't think we have enough information on how much Ankersen and SR are truly running the club. I do believe that Semmens has been a significant part of our problems for a while. The reason the Ralph stayed far too long, the constant rubbish that we cant compete financially with the clubs at our level, the unbelievable moronic comments we should be grateful to be in the PL after being the 13th best performing club over the last 50 years. My judgement is still out on the owners but if someone recommended forcing Semmens out of the club with the use of a baseball bat i would seriously consider it!

No i think he did practically nothing all game, certainly nothing to suggest the Perraud shouldn't have started on the left and KWP on the right. Its another bad sign for the direction under this muppet of a manager -

Anyone who trys to defend Jones in any way shape or form should have this team sheet tattooed on there foreheads, complete and utter joke selection. -
Ive been preaching from this bible for a quite a long time now

We dont have this perception of work starting in January, we have evidence of window after window after window not getting players into the club early in the window even when there are glaringly obvious weaknesses in our squads.

The booking fee has literally put me off buying tickets. Cheap ticket price, OK ill take the wife and 2 kids for £30 but then that will be £6 booking fee! You have a ticket price, if it doesn't include all your costs that's your problem not mine.

Confirms what, people that think XG has any place in the game are morons, yes it does.

Just to work with the last paragraph, my thoughts are that this appointment shows that the biggest mistake was made in July. I think we can take from comments made before on this site and in the media we have had a target in mind for a while. The time taken to announce Jones suggests its been him all a long. My thought are that if Jones was brought in in July, 'We thank Ralph for all his hard work blah blah blah, time for a new direction blah blah blah' it would have been more of a palatable and understandable appointment. The youthful signings and a new manager, fresh start etc. To do it now, when we are clearly in trouble shows a distinct level of ignorance. This combined with the inexplicable 'Grateful to be in the PL' garbage spouted by Semmens in the fans forum suggest serious issues lie in the management structure of the club. What we don't know is if these event are from the direction of SR or if Semmens and co are fully in control and just pulling SR's chain. If it is the later, SR can yank them out and make fundamental changes that give us hope going forward. If it is the former i seriously fear for the medium term prospects of our club.

Do we have any good streams for tonight?

How many times lately do you need to be wrong before you stop arguing about. Really is getting pathetic reading every thread where you try to correct everyone and never accept your wrong
-
Well it seems to me that a few of you at least are going to be very surprised when the line up is announced next week, I hope I'm wrong, shocked if i am though.
