  1. Sounds like we want Clyne to hand in a transfer request too, costing him the last years wages from us that he'd otherwise pick up as a golden handshake. Also if he tries to stay and see out his contracts last year he may not even be first choice anymore after Cedric signed. That could cost him a place in Englands Euro squad. Sounds like we're not bending over and taking it with this one. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

  3. To the tune of 70's classic and one hit wonder "Grandma": "Juanmi we love you, Juanmi we do. There's no-one quite like Juanmi..." Potentially intimidating too when belted out by the Northam. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

  5. Bologna after Pelle according to Corriera Della Sport http://m.calciomercato.it/news/336008/calciomercato-bologna-saputo-vuole-un-grande-attaccante-occhi-su-pell.html He was also linked to Lazio recently. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  6. I wouldn't rule out Pelle leaving though. There were a few reports of Serie A sides sniffing around at the end of last season. Whether they have the dosh is another thing. Could be a revamped front line and style of play then. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

  8. Link seems bad so here is article: NAIROBI, June 5 – Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is hopeful his English Premier League (EPL) side Southampton, will reach the group stages of the UEFA Europa League when the Saints return to European competition for the first time in 12 years next season. Wanyama, who saw his side handed qualification thanks to Arsenal’s 4-0 FA Cup demolition of Aston Villa, told Capital Sport the team under the tutelage of Dutchman Ronald Koeman has adapted to his philosophy and are aiming at improving their seventh finish in the EPL. The stocky midfield star, who became the first Kenyan to score in the UEFA Champions League when he netted the first goal in his former Scottish club Celtic’s 2–1 stunning win over this season’s finalists Barcelona in 2012 said he is eying on making an impact in Europe once again. “It means a lot going back to European football because it’s been two years since I played there. I’m glad to be in it and hopefully we will do well in the qualifying rounds. “I did it at Celtic and it was great. It feels good to be back again this time with an English Premier League team. I’m looking forward to it,” Wanyama, who rediscovered his scoring touch under Koeman, netting three in the EPL, told. The Kenya captain will see his team enter the Europa League at the third qualifying round, needing to win two (two-legged) ties to qualify for the group stages. The midfield enforcer who was awarded by the club for his impressive performance said transition from former manager Mauricio Pochettino to Koeman had been smooth and everyone in the team is showing commitment as the Saints disproved naysayers. “We have a good relationship with the manager and always work as a team. The spirit in the team is great; everyone works hard to improve in every game so it’s great playing as a family. “The President’s award means a lot to me, we have been doing very well and everyone did well. I’m grateful to have received the award,” Wanyama who joined Southampton in 2013 on a Scottish transfer record of 12.5 million pounds stated. The younger brother of 2010 Champions League winner Macdonald Mariga, who was sidelined for two matches in January after limping off with a hamstring injury picked in their third round FA Cup 1-0 win at Ipswich, revealed the knock made him return stronger. “We play a lot of games and it’s always difficult to be injury free, sometimes you can be lucky but I was unlucky. I’m happy I’m fit again.” Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  9. Big Vic has just retweeted this on Twitter Link http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/sports/2015/06/05/wanyama-eyes-strong-europa-league-run/ Would certainly suggest he's up for next season with us! Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk

    Djuricic

This guy may be worth a punt more than Elia. Youth is on his side and he has something to prove in the game. Has a lovely touch but so has Tadic who has shown there is more than that required in the Prem. Get them both in for pre-season!
  11. And probably one of the best I've ever seen at St Marys when we had Man U in the cup.
  12. Also has this not been seen? Morgan on Insta today
  13. Clubs agree terms with players before making offer to clubs, that's just how it works no poibt getting precious we'll be doing the same. Even Tiss said on his recent Sky documentary that he agreed terms with Spurs but Saints wouldn't sell when Spurs came in for him.
  14. Would love to see JWP stay and outperform them over the next few seasons.
  15. Saints Armstrong, what a service you are providing! Thankyou.
  16. That's the same journo who said a week ago on MUTV that Clyne was a done deal. United (Woodward perhaps?) seem to have all the north west writers in their pocket and use them at will.
  17. Kanchelskis had a pretty impressive career history when he came here but he was absolute gash. We can only judge what we've seen, he's had half a season and not impressed. Ta-ta!
  18. These loans of Elia and Djuricic have been more like extended trials. They've both failed though buy at least we're not stuck with them for three years or so. Sensible policy by the club.
  19. Thats the Sholing home kit people! Veho sponsor is 'cos Veho bosses son plays for them. Thankyou.
  20. Cynical as I am the part in the quotes that rang true was him saying he enjoys playing/starting every week. That is an honest acknowledgement by the player and maybe a message to any clubs thinking of collecting him for their squad.
  21. *Social media stalker update* Hugo Scheckter(Saints player liason officer) has just followed Adnan Januzaj on Instagram. Sounds like a done deal to me ?
  22. 18 year old keeper from Bitterne on the bench for Chelsea u21's tonight. Bradley Collins.
  23. Swap deals get talked about a lot in the press but very rarely happen.
  24. It's futile. They are everywhere in that stadium. Like rats, you're never more than two metres away from a dinlo at St Mary's I'm afraid.
  25. They showed him at half time of Bilbaos game tonight on Sky. They showed the vid apparently then presented the award. Standing and lasting ovation from 60000 crowd. Tiss looked genuinely touched and was saluting all sides of the ground. Such a worthy recipient of a unique award in football.
