That was our last friendly wasn’t it? We’ve played 3 at the back all Pre season and it’s not worked, there are huge gaps. If we change to 4 at back now I’ll be happy but what a waste of pre season games on a tactical side.

He’s at Lazio. They were keen on him in summer but couldn’t get him due to squad quotas so he went to Verona. Really impressed there apparently (14 games/3 goals) and finally moved to Lazio last month in transfer window. Basically they banked £17m from us for Hoedt and replaced him with a (possibly better?) player for free that we had in the building already.

Boo Boys are clearing their throats. Needs a goal like any striker who joins a club. Didn’t Pelle get one at Millwall and that set him off? Looked sharp in first couple of appearances, worked the keeper and hit woodwork I think.

We would definitely be way higher up the league with Puel. He had faults but we were nowhere near as wide open at the back as we are now. Our shape is awful under MP, gaps everywhere.
