  1. You mean the "played or paid lol" comment I take it? He wants to tread very carefully. If I was his age and in his position I'd be excited but he needs to reel his neck in a bit if he did say that. Football is very emotive for the fans!
  2. I agree. They are bigger. If all these clubs are desperate to sign him now surely they'll still be there at the end of the season with the same sort of money (as he's just signed a 3 yr deal)? If so Cortese should tell them all to do one (politely!), and we'll do business then. This will keep all the loan back lovers happy as he's still here. He's 17 and value shouldn't drop (bar broken leg/bad injury). We don't need the money either, apparently. But is it possible? Would he still perform if he (and Daddy) are given the hard ball treatment by Cortese? The outcome of this will be most interesting...
  3. So he's getting stick already on FB (allegedly, "play or payed lol!",allegedly). And people REALLY still think he'll sign for Arsenal and hope he stays on loan at Saints? I really don't see that happening. Remember Ince in a Man U shirt whilst still at West Ham? Fans won't have it imo. TDD says otherwise when I mentioned this yesterday. If his Dad has any sense he'll not allow him to stay, it could get nasty...
  4. Not ones that have just signed for another club from us! There is a difference between that and any normal loan surely you'll agree? I also guarantee he'll be booed by some of our fans. Maybe this would be a better poll than him staying or austin coming: If Oxo signs for Arsenal do you want him to stay on loan?
  5. Good luck to him at Huddersfield then I say. He can't have his cake and eat it. Off you good into the big wide world son, good luck. If Saints aint good enough bye bye.
  6. Lots of people are saying a loan back would good but imo if he puts pen to paper for Arsenal or whoever he's theirs and I no longer want to see him in a Saints shirt thankyou very much. Re-invest the money and move forwards.
  7. Correct.
  8. Fair play, classic mush lol!
  9. he was deflecting from a slightly embarrassing result for Blackpool by reminding everyone that they are in the Prem and what a great job he's done. Most managers in his position would have done a similar thing, but maybe not by using the fans chants to "spin" there way out of it. Imo of course!
  10. They lost in front of a meagre 14000 fans compared to our 22k on Sat v Exeter best fans in world yeah alright fer sure. 5 points off drop zone now...
  11. I read this earlier. You were being sarcastic weren't you?!
  12. Can't be that bad if you're on here though can it?
  13. No, but they didn't really ask him about the save, but for his views on the penalty decision against us and one we might have had when Lallana was fouled (almost identical) He played a straight bat and said something along the lines of...you know manager speak, look at the video etc...!.
  14. I don't think so. Last season was last season. New manager. New regime. New striker(s). If Ricky aint bangin them in by December we can't afford to wait all season for him to "find his form". Davis on Solent alluded to to the frustration with his comment re "with our firepower we should have won" comment. The king is dead, Long live the king...Something stinks with Lambert and I feel he'll go the way of Puncheon but not so readily as there's more of a PR job to do for the club with this one.
  15. Listened to the 2 interviews on Solent with Adkins and Kelvin whilst driving home from work. Adkins impressed with his bullish comment when asked "Do you think it could be a two horse race between Saints and Brighton for the title?". Adkins said: "If they can keep up with us", and then he referred to January. I take that to mean the squad will be bolstered significantly as he has referred to Jan several times. Kelvin Davis made two very interesting comments at the start and finish of his interview. Firstly he commented when asked if the dressing room was disappointed not to take all 3 points:"We are, considering the firepower at our disposal". And when asked whether Saints can push on and improve as a team he said: "Definitely, certain individuals and as a team of course too." To me he was speaking about Lambert. I think he'll be gone in January.
  16. brighton drawing too
  17. Did Puncheon score for Millwall lol!
  18. 2 points from 2nd place, thats more like it. Some were suggesting on the match thread that Adkins had lost the dressing room at 1 nil down. How do they feel now?!
  19. I would imagine that HMRC will give them the maximum possible security to pay to be able to trade! No love lost there obviously...
  20. I may be wrong but won't the tax man ask for a "security" straight away now. Probably a 7 figure sum I'd imagine. Isn't that standard practice in a situation like this when the same people take over after clearing huge debts through admin? Some of you business people out there may be able to shed some light on this...
  21. They've all agreed to blow up fratton and wind up the club? Wishful thinking...
  22. brinkmanship. imo.
  23. Standard day for Saints fans. For them, something to tell the grandchildren about.
  24. Just seen this on the bbc page: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/9048768.stm Is any of this new?
  25. TBDWell agree totally mate. Derry tell Mike for example he certainly wouldn't get the reaction the sisa lot got on sat if he spoke out at northam club. Plenty affection from real fans. We can seperate the wheat from the chaff...
