Mate of mine has been working at sms all week and was told on Wednesday that we'd sold 28k. Also told that Millwall will be a sell out. And the pitch looks amazing apparently lol.

---cork---morgan--- oxo---lallana---ridder ------lambert---- How bout this Drunkensaint? ---cork---morgan--- ridder---guly---lallana--- ------lambert---- I think its not a lot worse than the one with oxo tbh...

I have a student id card from eastleigh tech as i'm doing an nvq. It's valid 'til the end of this year. Although I only do one day a week at college is the card enough to get me concessions? I'm expecting extra scrutiny when going to the T.O as I'm well in to my 30's now, although some people say I don't look it I'm only thinking of a match by match basis...

Opinion Poll: The song that Saints currently come in to?
CityRanger replied to kwsaint's topic in The Saints
I second that. It's laziness to have an atmosphere created for us imo. -
I sympathise with your predicament Jackanory. On another thread on the main board this subject came up when a young lady professed her desire to go the Pompey away game. She was advised to buy a box of chocolates and the Dirty Dancing DVD and leave the football to the lads. Maybe this is how it should be, I personally don't want my missus counting my pints all day and getting me to join the hot chocolate queue at half time.

What if we sold, say, Ricky Lambert for 12m? Hypothetically speaking of course! Would that not be counted as income in completely the same way? I don't see how it's different that he's a youth product? Edit! I'm sorry i see what you're saying, that we should not sell ANY assets now. I'll read properly next time.

Looking at the fixture list we're gonna need a few good signings!

I think this is the market we should be looking at if we are serious about promotion this season http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/gallery/2011/jun/03/europes-top-50-transfer-targets-in-pictures

Talking of overpaid and unwanted players have a look through this lot: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/gallery/2011/jun/13/europe-unwanted-football-transfer-window Almost certainly all of them out our price range, illustrating the point made previously about why NPC clubs have little chance of attracting the "big names". I wouldn't mind us getting the stroppy "new zlatan ibrahimovich" though!

He was the editor of the NOW. Big hitter who probably doesn't come cheap...Why would they need a person who knows most of the powerful people on Fleet St I wonder?!

Anyone associated with the 3 relegated sides, Preston, Sheff Utd and Scunny, must be so angry about this. They don't pay T B Haim 1.4 m in wages yet hand out lucrative new contracts to compete in the Championship and finish mid table. More blatant cheating, surely time for a stewards? They must have some serious sh!t on someone to get away with this stuff...

like the Hadjuk one myself... Just looked back through the posts and it's got the same collar as Notts Forest's new kit. Prefer it (the collar) to the Santos one above. Don't wear the shirts myself but think our lads would look pukka in the Had Split kit in our colours.

Rod Wallace, Gareth Bale. Not talking about the same level but Blackstock going when we only had journeymen who didn't give a toss in his place.
-
Surely he'll be offered better terms this summer after the season he had and the interest he has attracted?
-
We need players like Oxo if we are to be promoted (or even to compete) in a much tougher league next season. His value is very unlikely to depreciate over the season. Therefore he is a considerable asset to the club and should not be sold. If the club is serious about getting into the Premier League then they should be able to budget for the necessary additions to the squad without the sale of our best teenager. I believe they are and will.

It was vivid. It was the only time in my life I "saw" something like that. I was not prone to daydreams. Strange I know, but it stuck in my head for years ahead of many other things because of how strange it felt at the time. I'm not an attention seeker and don't have a mental illness either as far as I know!

What's a time slip C L??! Fascinated!

Fair play to trying to rationalise everything MLG, i like a lot of the stuff you put up on here btw! But you are being slightly patronising there pal. I'm no dinlow! There was no Victorian day going on. I was in the middle of the pitch and just switched off and saw this stuff, kept it to myself for many, many years and made a link when my Gran showed me the pics and told me that about her uncle. I had no Sholing links before that either, just Harefiled Hedge End. - or your memories of the event have distorted over time.
-
When I was about 12 years old I went to the Tyro League rep trials at the Veracity Ground in Sholing. i didn't play all that well and felt a bit out of sorts. At one point i looked around and saw kids in suits and flat caps like a scene from many years ago, but didn't think much of it at the time Years later I was going through old family photos with my Gran and she showed me a pic of her uncle who looked like me. Same hair, build etc as an adult. She said he used to live by the Veracity and was an amateur athlete who used to run laps round the veracity to train. I got goosebumps. I told her of my experience as a child, she just smiled. When looking back I can remember that experience and the "pictures " that I saw at the time. I had no reason to have knowledge of images of that sort at the time. Is this linked to reincarnation I have often wondered?

Nicks in East St. Plenty grub for yer money there pal.

Ahh bless 'em. They've only named 5 subs. Cue Sky commentators: What an incredible job "Cotts" has done with such meagre resources...
-
Splendid day out. The Griffin gets top marks for a pre match beer, nice victorian pub. Saints fans did not stop songs all game. Connolly my m of m, fonte mopped up well also.
-
Why are they so angry? Surely they realised they'd have to pay for their FA Cup 'win' at some point.
-
Agreed. And it's not even pink anymore!
