LOL - played sweeper for Swindon(whilst player manager).

I remember Gullit / Koeman / Hoddle playing those twin roles effectively in their career but obviously they’re players of the highest calibre. Not many about I’d guess.

Were there any questions about safe standing? I believe several PL clubs are going with it this season and would love to see it at St Mary’s.

Gives the ball away a ridiculous amount of times. Puel dropped him for it and he’s never improved in that respect. Bottom half PL player as result. Strong CM in tackle, looks quite hard and good on tv interviews so not all bad.

We’ve made history tonight. One of the worst top level home performances in English football history. We’ll be known for this to the average fan more than any other thing we’ve done in last 10 years. And still I’ve seen hardly any calls for managers head. Incredible.

Lad has a nice range of passing, a bit different to our other midfielders(lobs balls over the top, in a good way). Ralph said as much after his debut.

Good to see him sign a deal. The lad has a different style and nice range of passing compared to our other midfielders. I thought he offered another dimension when he appeared for the first team last season. (*whispers* A bit of Steve Williams in the passing).

If RH can make the absolutely enormous improvements that he did with Redmond in such a short space of time it’s scary to think how good he could make Boufal.

There is an argument to be had (imo) that Koeman was better than Poch. (League positions anyone?)

Hopefully if they shine we stay up, that outweighs keeping them long term. Beggars can’t be choosers can they?

Tadic is class, great vision and perfect passing. People who slagged him off are just doubling down on their blinkered limited football knowledge to make out he was useless for us. Used to it now we must have the most uneducated fans in football. Not his fault the last two seasons he was providing service to an absolute bunch of (proven) donkeys up front.

If there’s one player out on loan that would suit the managers high energy pressing game it’s Harrison Reed.

He’s a bit of a loon, obsessed about us having an amazing squad and all the managers fault. MP and MH are poor managers but our squad is on its arse. We need 2/3 new CB’s with the onus on pace and strength.

He’s not messing things up but he seems anonymous in the games I’ve seen him play, which may explain why he’s not had stick from fans? Sadii Mane got way more abuse for his early appearances.
