Alan Shearer always scored against us. I'd probably hate him if he hadn't played for us.

Never panicked, showed our depth in the squad by putting on Wanyama who was easily the man of the match. Swansea played some of the best football I've seen against us for a few years, we've beaten a very good team. Well done Saints.

We're local rivals. But the hatred is mainly on their part. Spending the best part of 50 years in the lower leagues below Saints has made them incredibly bitter. They'll tell you they've won more. Two league titles and an FA Cup over 60 years ago and another FA Cup 6 years ago that put them where they are today.

Not good enough. Blowing leads to **** teams like Sunderland is not good enough. We were dicking them and then they got their 1st goal and alarm bells starting ringing, a truly pathetic performance.

That would never work. Teams like Wigan won't be as well equipped for the Champions League than a team who finish 4th. If, for example, a Championship side happen to win the Cup and find themselves in the CL, they'd get beaten in it every week and it would be seen as a waste of time. I do, however, love the Cup and would happily take a lower league finish and win it than finish 9th but with no Cup. We're in a great position in which we're not worried about relegation but we're not going to qualify for Europe so let's take it seriously this season and go for it.

The 2 equalisers for Pompey in 11/12. I have watched the Norris goal since and the way it happened makes it seem worse. But actually the Joel Ward one was worse, a pathetic goal to give away and I wouldn't have given a toss about Norris had we won that game at Fratton. I can watch the 4-1's now and chuckle because they, especially the first one, were such a long time ago and the fact that they STILL go on about says it all.

The great thing is I'm not even surprised that we played so well, we're a good team and we know it. Also, nice to see the doom-mongers and wums are rather quiet.

Very interesting the part about the managerial changes. He got stick not having a replacement lined up for Pardew and still got stick for having Pochettino immediately lined up. People complain about the way in which Adkins was sacked, well, how else do you sack a manager? It's never a nice thing to do but there's no other way of doing it and the way in which Cortese did the Adkins/Pochettino change so seamlessly has to be applauded.
