I liked it from the off, still do, bought it, like how it looks on me and I enjoy wearing it at the gym. A change in look one in a while is a good thing. However after watching Saints in action I have to admit I'm beginning to miss the stripes and it isn't really Southampton. A few times I have seen highlights of our matches and for a split second thinking it was Liverpool before realising it's us. I think it's more to do with the red shorts, perhaps if it the shorts were black or white it would be easier on the eye but all red doesn't really look right on the pitch. It's far from being our worst home kit though. Some of our own brand FL era shirts were ghastly, mainly the ones with the crappy white boxes to accommodate the sponsors. And the kit we wore during our final season at the Dell, that was far worse.

The two Pompey matches from last season (surprised they haven't had more of a mention). The one at home was the worst moment but we were appalling in that match and deserved what we got. But the Fratton Park draw irritates me more because we really should have won and would have had Adkins decided to replace Fox (never forget the look on his face) with Harding who needlessly belted the ball out for the corner which led to their goal. Glad he's gone now. ****er. Of course that moment wasn't as bad because we thought "nevermind, we'll have to smash them at home" but in the long run it irritates me more. Had we finished 1st last season I wouldn't care so much but not winning the title still really irritates me. Everton in 2005, Marcus Bent lashing that shot into the top left hand corner. It was February but you knew that was it for us.
