  1. “The team I had before took 2-3 years to build and you’ll see that team in a months time” You know that story of when Paul Sturrock went back to Plymouth with Saints for a pre season friendly and he lapped up the adulation while leaving the players in the tunnel on a hot day and they pretty much stuck two fingers at him and threw it? It’s gonna be like that again vs Luton in the cup (unless of course Grimsby beat them). Same with Redknapp vs Pompey, history repeating itself and we’re not getting out of this.
  2. Nah man surely that’s satire? He’s actually said that?
  3. 2 former Newcastle players vs Franny. No bias here from Sky 🙄
  4. I hope Murphy gets his legs snapped
  5. Emanuel Mayuka was part of the spending spree post promotion and won us a penalty vs Villa and that was about it.
  6. We've spunked our record transfer fee (of £7m) on Jay Rodriguez, how underwhelming. JWP is shit and you can see the potential but he's so weak that a gust of wind could blow him over. We'll beat Arsenal in the 2003 FA Cup Final because they'll be pissed off about losing the league to Man United. That pinstripe Liverpool style home kit (2012-13 season) is beautiful and we're right to ditch the stripes. I think I'll spend £42 on it to celebrate us coming back up (the sponsor pealed off and the neck was too tight. I still like the shirt tbh but i threw it out ages ago).
  7. Good looking game at Villa, 3-3 vs Leeds. Danny Ings must have score - oh he hasn't. Well he must be enjoying playing in an absolute thri - oh he was on the bench.
  8. Damn we should be winning this
  9. I like Klopp in proper tv interviews (not post match ones). He's intelligent and articulate and seems a decent guy. That said, he's also extremely annoying. The backwards hat celebrations when Liverpool won the league made him look like a bellend and the media circle-jerk over him is nauseating. Plays up to the cameras with his over-celebrating (every.single.goal) and now with his recent whinging I just think fuck him. He's one of those dickheads who, if you express a negative opinion towards, people think you're mental and noone dare speak a bad word about. Frank Lampard's words to him at the end of last season were brilliant and true.
  10. I didn't watch the match but the BBC circle-jerking over Everton before showing the highlights proper was staggering. Only satisfying thing about it was knowing they had to show that and follow it with us beating them.
  11. Maybe Ings will actually get a game this time. It's a seriously weak midfield there. Mount is really nothing special, nor is Winks. Grealish is a complete tool who everyone seems to think is the answer to England's problems, yet James Maddison gets left out. Forget Foden and Greenwood doing whatever they did in Iceland and just bring them back in, nobody cares. Tammy Abraham has done nothing for ages and Rashford has always been inconsistent for Man United. Other than that really good 😆
  12. It was a shock result and the biggest ever top flight away win, why wouldn't it be mentioned? Personally i really don't mind the constant bringing up of it by the media. It was the culmination of 3 years of utter dross on the pitch and pretty much forced us to, as Ralph said, "hit the reset button" and kickstart this amazing run we've been on. i'm glad it happened.
  13. Damn i was hoping we'd re-sign him. I suppose with his wages and injuries it wasn't worth it. Though wasn't the rumour that he was going to Leicester and reunite with Rodgers?
  14. Well that was fun 😆 The better team won for sure but I wouldn't have had too many complaints had we not won. Some of the finishing was appalling. V happy for Adams again and Ings... just smash it next time yeah?
  15. Yeah I've got several plastic United mates and one of them I teased slightly over the result and he said "but Southampton had nothing to play for". So? We're meant to let them win like they did when we needed to stay up in 2005?
  16. 4-1! Wow, top bottle job from leicester
  17. Fucking fuming, we're not gonna win this, always happens at Everton, always. Richarlison is a little cunt as well
  18. Make that 5
  19. I love it, not gonna mug myself off and pay 55 quid for it (wait till end of season sale 😉), but they're both fine shirts. 3rd kit is the nicer one, the sponsor logo in gold makes it look less obnoxious and plastered on and tbf they probably got it in reverse, home kit looks like a 3rd kit and the 3rd looks like it should be home. Like the little game you can play on Facebook to unveil it and the little dig at Pompey still being in League One 😆
  20. Adebayor was definitely one, mentioned in Le Tiss's autobiography. Strachan went to look at a defender, didn't want him but liked the look of Adebayor but Lowe wouldn't stump up the cash. Tore Andre Flo was another one before he went to Chelsea. Ibrahimovic i think was offered to come here on loan or something and his reply was "Southampton? Who are they?". Always hated him.
  21. They're also showing the same inconsistencies in point deductions. Doing the same thing to Wigan as they did to us in 2009, but not to Portsmouth - if you survive then we take your points off your final tally and you'll go down. If you go down then start on minus points.
  22. 0-2 Newcastle. Bournemouth are really buggered.
  23. Champo: Leeds - great club, great away day, they belong in the Premier League. Brentford - it'll be cool to see a smaller club in the top flight for a season or two. Fulham and Cardiff have had their chance and will stink up the league again and WBA are pretty boring (but are already up with Leeds) Forest - same as Leeds though i'd rather see Preston come up. What's it been 60 years out of the top flight? That would be a nice story. Relagation: Cherries - i rather like Bournemouth but their rivalry is misplaced and they need to be brought back down, so fuck them West Ham - thoroughly unlikable owners, fans and club in general, delusions of grandeur and have taken too many points off us recently, so fuck them Villa - good club but they've been pretty unremarkable this season, so fuck them Norwich are already down though, always liked them but there's no saving them. In fact the current bottom 3 of them, Villa and Cherries will stay that way.
  24. I'll be disappointed with anything less than a win, Arsenal are a turgid side with zero confidence and while Norwich were awful, we looked sharp, fit and hungry against them. We're a better team now than the one that should have taken all 3 points at the Emirates.
