  1. i think he'll be here for the long haul. The question is ... if we are near or in the relegation zone in March... will Rupert have the balls to stick with him or will the trigger finger come into it again ?
  2. I'm in the Kingsland. Trust me, Dyer was crap. he beat the guy once when he basically ran into him and got a lucky bounce back off his own shins. he's quick but he has no brain at all... always cutting inside into traffic and onto his weaker foot, never really making space for a pass to go to him. When he does kick it past the man and tries to out pace him, he gets shoved off the ball because he's too small. If by some chance, he finds himself in a crossing position - his crosses are ****. I honestly don;t see what there is left. Forgetting the handbags thing for a moment - i don't see why there was a big fuss about us losing him and I really can;t see why on earth we offered him a new contract.
  3. The biggest **** up today was the half time sub. White had to come off so fair play to him for that but IMO Wotton on with Lallana moving to the right was the obvious thing to do. Would have steadied the midfield and made the right side a lot better. Dyer was predictably complete s h i t e when he came on.
  4. -------------Davis --Cork---Killer-----Perry-----Surman -----Gillett---------Wotton Lallana------Schneiderlin-----Holmes --------------Pekhart or -------------Davis --Cork---Killer-----Perry-----Surman -----Gillett---------Schneiderlin McGoldrick------Lallana-----Holmes --------------Pekhart
  5. Mark Hughes.... you never saw the Dellhurst Park game then. Hughes was 36, playing out of position in midfield and he was the single biggest reason we won that day along with Chris Marsden. i don;t believe Hughes ever gave less than 100% in any game he ever played in
  6. Davis 9 - Our best player by a mile James 5 - Some good stuff but i don't honestly think he's ready for 1st team. he's hardly ever played right back before. Surman 6 - Thought he did ok. though he's the same age you can see he has more experience Svensson 5 - Poor to be honest. Bound to have a dip after the adrenaline rush of just being out on the pitch begins to go. Perry 7 - Excellent reading of the game Schneiderlin 6 - Started well and faded badly. Didn;t think he should have come off though Gillett 4 - Started well then after about 20 mins it all went to **** and he never recovered. lallana 6 - Pretty quiet all game apart from that 5 minute spell in the first half. White 2 - Got ball, fell over, Lost ball, fouled the guy. A game to forget. McGoldrick 6 - Not 100% convinced by him but he played well in flashes today. Holmes 6.5 - 8 for the first half, 5 for the 2nd. Dyer 1 - Waste of space. I have no idea why this guy is highly rated by some and why on earth we gave him a new contract. Wotton 5 - Tried his best but the midfield disappeared. John 5 - Won a few headers but no service really. Would like to see Cork in at right back for the next game, Wotton in midfield with lallana wide right and Pekhart up the middle.

I've never rated him really but he kept us in it today. A coupld of indecisive moments in the first half but he was our man of the match by a mile.
  8. If you look on the team photo, Gillett is next to Dyer and he is obviously the taller of the two. So how tall is Dyer ?
  9. Thought he got a raw deal here to be honest. To be a former International right back and get left out in favour of an out of position fat useless slow midfielder in Jermaine Wright. Jesus always gave 100% and was not the defensive liability he was made out to be. Having said al that, his injury record over the past year was diabolical and we were patying him a lot to do **** all so he really didn;t deserve to have his contract renewed. Good luck to the guy though. If you want to have a pop about him though - compare his attitude to the game and SFC to the attitude of our two resident handbag theives.
  10. £8 million versus £1.3 million. Anton-donkey-Bradley-Wright-Phillips-Famous-brother-Who-Is-a-Better-Player-syndrome Ferdinand. I see Ferdinand and Davies as being at a similar level. If Anton is worth £6.7 million more then I've got more than one hole in my ass. I find it crushingly sad that a club are willing to pay £8m for such an incredibly average player and it make you wonder how much we could have got for Davies had Sunderland been interested in him. No wonder football is ****ed.
  11. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.....
  12. Ian Harte lost all ability to run about 5 years ago. he's the slowest fullback you've ever seen, on a par with Jermaine Wright for pace. He would 'get by' in this league but that's all. Personally - wouldn;t want him anyway. McCarthy knows him well as his manager for Ireland and he obviously doesn't fancy him any more.
  13. John up front. Rudi on the left, Lallana on the right Gillett, Schneiderlin and Wotton in midfield Surman, Killer, perry and James at the back Flapper in goal (I guess) Thomas and Euell on the bench with Bart, McGoldrick and Holmes
  14. It's a horrible thing when you know that if your kid asks you who he/she should support... all you've got to recommend Saints by is that they're the local team. There is no other ****ing reason right now.... My son is 4 and I started going to The Dell when I was 6 so i figure I've got 2 years for Ssints to be half decent again.... the clock is ticking.... quickly.
  15. Can't we flog them that useless **** BWP. his dad is their record scorer after all...
  16. So if Reading bid £2m for Surman, we're going to turn it down are we Jan ?..... B O L L O C K S
  17. Syer and BWP are both ****, regardless of anything else. end of. Skacel and Euell could have been of some use yesterday
  18. Why is anyone surprised that JP knows nothing about which players are moving. Remember... we are moving away from 'Gaffer' culture. This means a move away from the 'English' way of the manager knowing what is going on with his playing staff, towards a continental approach whereby the Head Coach is given a pool of players and these are ususally chosen for him. some would say this is a good way so the clubs finances are in order first and foremost, some would say it's a means for the President (Lowe and Wilde) to have more input into football matters.
  19. We'll outplay a lot of teams if we play like that every game but our youth worked against us in the end. James and Gillett in particular were knackered at the end. Davis 7 - good first half... a bit flappy in the 2nd James 6 - Started very well and got increasingly tired. By 80 mins was out on his feet Surman 7 - Excellent going forward, not too bad at the back Perry 7 - Got a goal, did simple things well Svensson 7 - Will only get better and he was pretty good anyway Gillett 7 - Excellent 1st half but tired and began misplacing passes Schneiderlin 8 - Excellent touch, would benefit from playing alongside Wotton Lallana 7 - Flitten in and out all game - promising though McGoldrick 6 - 1st touch poor, not a winger, not a line leading striker. Holmes 3 - Good for 5 minutes doesn;t look fit John 5 - Pudding Thomson 6 - Lively with no end product. Birmingham will win the league... just look at the squad - it's like WBA last year... 2 Scottish internationals up front (McFadden and O'Connor) to start with England U21 (Jerome), Ex-England ex-Golden Boot Winner (Phillips) and experienced Premiership Striker (Bent). We can't compete against that. We have too many youngsters on the team and it really showed. I can see us struggling to close a game out even if we're 2-0 up and have bossed it for 80 minutes. Also, if Skacel is fit - what possible sense does it make to not play him and play Holmes. Not picking on Holmes here (even though he was poor) but you get my drift.
  20. I turned out for a mate's side at the tail end of last year when they were short... I'm 39 and 2 stone heavier than when I last played at 33. I did alright and wound up the oppositions 19 year old centre forward so much he turned round and spat in my face and got sent off so I didn't even get chance to go through the ****er the next time he got the ball. I aint playing Sunday football again.

    Sky

When other household costs were spiralling about 5 years back, d'you know what I did....? I ****in' got rid of it. Best days work ever. Sports... if SFC are on I go to the pub. now I don;t spend time watching games I don't give a **** about as was the case before. Movies.... rent a DVD or go to the cinema... again, it makes you be more selective about what you go and watch instead of sitting throught some god awful ****e because it's there. I don't miss Sky at all...
  22. That's why some people have played 2 in the LEAGUE then is it...
  23. when I predicted (correctly as it happens) the Cardiff game... there was nowhere to Enter the Exeter prediction so I didn't. Load of ****e...
  24. I think that Rudi, Euell, Thomas, Rasiak, Davis are all for sale.
  25. It amazes me that people wanted shot of him. Quality player who got ****ed about last year by drunken George who made a big play about him being a vital signing and then ****ed him about all season. We want forwards with movement for this season. We had two and one has just been sold. rasiak and John don't move at all and don't get me started on BWP.
