Last time I looked, this was a thread about Ryan Dickson and by association, our other left backs / midfielders.... and now it's a p1ssing contest. Boring.

Dickson is much better than Harding IMO and a better left winger than Holmes. Hope he comes back afrer a month getting match fit.

What's his position. I don't reckon anyone knows. He's left footed but no longer a full back, has no discernable attacking game to play as a forward. Maybe a holding midfielder like Morgan (ie, one that doesn't tackle much). Shouldn't be near the team yet IMO, Dickson or Butterfield should be on the bench ahead of him.

I think Hammond used to take them for Brighton. Would say Fox but left footers always seem to miss in shoot outs..

Complete shiite about us not being up for it. Bristol City were very good. kept possession in our half and did a number on us. They defended very well and James made two fantastic saves. The ref gave us **** all in their half and on another day their skipper would have been sent off for persistent fouling. We've played worse and won this season and we played ok tonight, just not as well as they did. Best performance by anyone at SMS this year. Some players not at it individually - Lallana was terrible and deserved to get subbed, Guly was poor as well. De Ridder was our best attacker by a mile and only really shanked one cross the whole game. Morgan started well then disappeared

I know money talks and all that but if I was a forward who was shorter than 6 ft 4, there's no way I'd sign for an Allardyce team... you'd be on the bench or on the wing when he went 4-5-1 and if you played you'd spend the whole game chasing balls being smashed over your head.

I'm 43 so played it a lot as a kid. My son is 7 and I've started him on it as an alternative to staring at the TV playing FIFA 12 or whatever. I think I sold some as a teenager but I have a lot of teams from the 1980s, like the England 1982 World Cup team and all that. I used to play it to death with my dad, I'd win 15 games, then lose one, then throw a tantrum, then get sent to my room with "you're only as good as your last game" ringing in my ears.... I remember getting a sore back playing it but a great game.

Lambert then Chaplow then Richardson / Cork / Hooiveld. Also, Fonte has been improving a lot recently

Would like to see retrospective yellows and reds for diving. Forget all this 'undermining the ref' ********. There would be a spate of them and then the ref's job would be made easier from then onwards. Also, none of his 'the ref saw it and dealt with it' ******** either. If the ref gives a yellow and it should have been a red then upgrade to a red.
