Yep, Davis did well in league 1 and well in the Championship but this is different. He's 36 and isn't going to get any better. Loyalty only goes so far in this game especially when you get to the Prem. Adkins decided that Hammond and Sharp (and Fox with the attempted signing of Buttner) weren't good enough for this level without giving them a chance and he should have done the same with Davis. All 4 of these players were massively instrumental in us getting to the Prem. I know it's not "nice" and I don't necessarily agree with it but that's how it is. IMO, Boruc or another 'first choice' keeper should have been signed before the season started... likewise one 'Michael Dawson' type first choice centre half and it given time to bed in, in pre-season.

Davis has never and will never be good enough for this level and he should never have started the season. Gazza is better than Davis now and will be our No1 within 2 years and it was a brilliant spot from whoever scouted him. However, the experience and pedigree is with Boruc and he should be in goal from here on in.

Has to play from the start. We really are in desperate need of some pace in the side. I'd have de Ridder on the bench for the same reason.

No doubt his reaction wasn't the best but no one got hurt nor was in any danger of being hurt. Probably wasn't expecting to be given sh1t on his home debut. IMO, fans who have a go at our own players should just stay at home, including the morons near me who booed when Guly came on. I find fans like this even more annoying than the Spurs fan behind me.

Deano would have struggled creatively but he could have sat in front of the defence and won tackles and headers which no other ****er does. He had heart as well and never gave less than 100% and was a leader. We don't have a leader in midfield. Harding would have got slaughtered in this division but would be better than playing Yoshida at left back

Much better than Harding and has the pace that Fox lacks as well. not sure about his defending as we didn't do much of that in League 1.

Every time he got a run he did well. The scandal was when Whiskey George dropped him for the playoff semi-final after he'd been superb for about 10 games

Just found out that he played a few games for Palace and England age group teams as a left back. If Fox continues to struggle, maybe he could play there and Richardson on the right.... or we could play Ryan Dickson of course...
