Yes, tactically we play a game that suits having a big striker who can hold the ball up to allow the midfield to get near him and is good in the air to threaten the goal from all our crosses. We had one, we let him go. We don't have one now yet we've played this way for most of the season. It's mind bending....

2 centre backs who can't head the ball and a keeper that won't come off his line will do that for you.

First thing Jones did was sign Paul Jones from his previous club Stockport as No 1 keeper for 800k when we had no money. Thing was we had Maik Taylor who was a good keeper so we didn't need to spend that money there. Then there was Lee Todd - absolutely dire and another left back that Franny saw off. Football was dire but we survived thanks to Pahars. The season that he was put on gardening leave, we were bottom of the league I think so he would soon have got sacked.
