All organisations sell and need PR support.

In a strange way you have a point. Thompson is poor as is Lancashire. If you are not ready by 18 or 19 for League 1 then you are not good enough. Remember we used to loan teenagers to teams in this league to get experience. We don't have time to waste on players who will struggle in the third tier.
-
No. That payed it all.

Was he buying an interview suit?

Accounts will be published at Companies House as it is a Ltd co. But Markus decides what to spend.
-
It is an "of the shelf company" which is set up and sold for a few quid via a company registration agent. Most people then change the name but as it will not be used, they have not bothered.
-
No Southampton Stadium Ltd was also an asset. The holding company now has no assetts and will be subject of a "Winding up order" at the request of Fry. He will then distribute the money to the creditors and seek permission from the court to dissolve the company. SFC and SSL have new owners.

MLT is no innocent in this despite his good intentions. For me the Pinnacle crowd understood (like everybody else) that the league would not budge yest they claimed they would succeed as late as the weekend. They are all time wasting prats!:smt097

The money will go towards the staff and player wages as SFC Ltd are not in administration. Staff are preferential creditors if they were to go into admin.
-
Because they were beaten to the exclusivity period by Pinnacle (by a wisker we are told). As soon as Pinnacle failed to deliver, the Swiss moved in!
-
It was made clear in the press statements that the deposit was "non refundable". The plain facts are that there is no money anyway.
-
There is no chance of a deposit return. What a daft comment:mad:

Where has the -25 points come from? Is there points deflation going on? The other posts are right, time for Pinnacle to sign or go!
-
Any new group have the advantage of knowing the FL position and Fry can advise on what will be necessary to facilitate the sale. Hopefully 3 weeks are not required.
-
FL don't give the club a CVA as this is a formal insolvency procedure under the Insolvency Act 1986. I think Fry will do the deal tomorrow as staff must be anxious and may leave. Also out of contract players will drift away next week!
-
Pinnacle are meeting the FL today according to Radio Solent. What is there to discuss? Accept the FL terms or make way for Jackson et al or the Swiss group. They have had long enough
-
Pinnacle may wish to reduce the price to reflect the new value. The administrator may sue the FL.

Jones would not be an issue to the FL. The vetting process would cover whether the Director had traded the business in breach of the relevant insolvency laws and was likely to be subject to disqualification proceedings. They may also look at personal credit files to ensure that nobody is a current bankrupt and criminal records. Otherwise they would be fit. -
Why has Pinnacle taken so long? Why the legal issues so late in the day? I think the FL should have been delt with earlier. I fear Monday is the end
-
Radio Solent say the deal should be completed today. So no news is still good news
-
could it be an emargoed press release?
-
That rag of a website is trying to invent news where it isnt there. The Zurich bid would have been accepted otherwise. Mr Fry is not missleading people.

£1m for DMG - Why do people think it's such a bad deal?
mattyd replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
If these players are any good, why did we go down? People should realise that BWP, DM, AA, AS and co are below average CCC players who let us all down! Some may improve and do well so we need sell on clauses but in L1 they would still struggle, look at our results in cup competitions recently eg Bristol Rovers. It is time to rebuild with L1 and CCC proven players who understand the physical game and can scrap out results and not give late goals away week after week. -
The new owners might feel that players associated with two years of serious decline on the pitch need clearing out for a fresh start.
