Our spending should also include a huge (for div 1) wage bill. I remember MW saying that Thomas was "too expensive" for this div in the summer. The day before he left in fact. Add two experienced managers as assistants, the scouting system (which implies more signings) and the rest and we can assume we are big spenders. Remember many of the other clubs (eg Norwich) sold as well. Look at their net spending. We have made very little on sales post takeover (which is the period in question).

Emergency loan window closes on Thursday and the FL won't give us dispensation to borrow a keeper with 5 on our books!

All players like all of us have bad spells and confidence issues. He just needs another chance. In some ways I think it is good to give Bart a go and give him experience. i remember when Kelvin had a bad patch and was out of the team.

Overseas broadcasters buy the pre packaged video from the FA. The game is filmed for UK highlights anyway. It might be on.

I said this before if you can't make league 1 by his age then you are not good enough. He is not a talented player of league 1 or above standard. When will people realise, we used to loan players of his age to clubs in this division. He would not make it.
-
Why not a league 1 side? He is so bad he will sink any club he plays in! Lets hope Charlton sign him
-
Sorry you are right Thomson, I should proof read my own writing!

Lancashire, White and Thomas have all failed to make the grade. They are simply not up to league 1 standard. We should look to offload these ASAP. Remember when we were in the higher leagues we loaned young players to league 1 clubs and these boys cannot make it!!

The Preston manager confirmed that there is no recall option for Trotman

They quote CET time

The comparison is wrong. In those days we played in Division 3 (South) as the set up was similar to Blue Square North and South. Therefore no comparison can be made.

With 4 down from this league I think we will find it hard. My guess, survival as the small teams run out of players through injury and suspension. 20th place
-
I do mean the squad in the wider sense. I think we have about 14 or 15 OK players and and some of them are very good. The problem is depth in squad and the quality of the players on the bench but also the infrastructure.
-
I would support the manager even if we went down again because I have faith in his ability to build from the shambolic position we have been in. Most of the squad are not League 1 standard, simple as that. When we were in the prem and championship we loaned out youth players to clubs in this division. Now we are in it we cannot play them because they are so poor! Time for us all to wake up and realise it will be a long and difficult road to recovery!

On Radio Solent last night the reporter said that Wotte and CO did not use scounts and said that they wanted to concentrate on our game not our opponents. It was one of Lowe's first decisions when he returned.

I think most fans think we need a couple of players. A new centre back and a ball winner in midfield so we can improve the service to the forwards. If any striker leaves than I hope a replacement can be sourced. People need to understand that it will take a year or more to assemble the team. I wonder how many players have turned us down because of our league position already?

Outsourcing may well be cheaper than keeping it in house. They will have other work to do as well and could even charge a percentage the actual amount they sell as their fee.
-
Has Dave Merrington moved from the BBC?
-
yes it was. Radio Solent reported Nicola's comments and Pardue on Sky said he had money
-
All players need "international clearance" with UAFA if they are non UK based every time they change club. A formality.
-
Just what we need a tall and experienced centre back who is used to winning. This league contains players who are older. I think Pardue is doing a great job at recruting players who have operated at a higher level than League 1. Timne for the moaners to accept they are wrong?
-
There is money. Two football league ex managers in the backroom staff with a big name manager. A "generous" offer made to a two bit striker. People need to grow up. We need the right players and not as team of Burley like panic buyes.

There are legal requirements to publish audited accounts at Companies House and these are published for all to see. So we will know but maybe not for up to 18 months

When crouch leaves the Skates will have no decent players left and it is already too late to gell a team together in the Prem. See you in The Championship on your way down!
