  1. You are right. By the way most accountants try to minimise profits on paper to reduce corporation tax. Declaring too much profit is stupid unless you want to pay dividens.
  2. Calling me a moron is unnecessary, rude and the language of somebody who is inarticulate! I can read accounts, by the way I am in business, have a Masters degree and manners! At no point did I accuse anybody of anything. I merely asked why we appear to behave differently from our peers.
  3. I don't post often but this thread annoys me. Why do we sell when our peers do not? Why are some of our fans so unambitious as to support this policy? This season we sold players without replacing like for like and made a profit DESPITE the new TV deal and the riches which go with it. Where is all the money? These questions need answering
  4. 25 players over the age of 21. Unlimited players under 21. Rodriguez is not going to be the same again in my view. Sell him and improve.
  5. Redmond should play as a winger and a new Proven hitman up front.
  6. A little bit of ambition is needed, Mid table is a step back. Top 6 with a cup run is progress.
  7. Sorry to say that he is not Premier League standard, pure and simple. By 20 and you expect to see progress.
  8. The empty seats in the stand are nothing to do with the boxes. I spoke with the corporate team today and they are pleased with the suite sales. Most firms buy seats in there because they can have a few at a lesser price. Boxes cost too much for local companies who are not corporates.
  9. To be honest maintaining the squad is insufficient when other teams are improving. We need competition at CB (Yoshida is not good enough), we need an attacking ball crosser and a defensive midfielder. With six more games than usual we need a little more depth. You cant expect players to play every match at their highest level with over 46 games minimum. Moreover, the CB situation is that when one of the regulars is out we struggle.
  10. My view is that we will have an acceptable squad in place by the end of August but will need some investment in January when the high number of games takes its toll. I do not think we will go down and I am impressed with last nights result as a positive omen for the season.
  11. Sorry to say that neither Gardos or Yoshida are Premier league quality. We have five more competitive games than normal (late entry into League cup included) and need more than cover, we need rotation. We are a rich club and therefore can afford to invest in quality. I would then sell Gardos to recoup a proportion.
  12. Ronald has been criticised for not rating the Under 21 squad last season. Some players went out on loan to League 1 clubs but their feedback has not been great. My question is. Who are the high talent players who will make our first team? Realistically, how many of them will end up in the Football League but not make the Prem? We do not want to play youth for its own sake, do we?
  13. Maybe the Under 21 team is not ?good enough. Who excelled last season?
  14. Every year people speculate that we will not invest to improve but we generally do. 24 players is not enough for the demands of Europe. We need a keeper (all clubs at our level have at least 3), a new CB as Fonte needs a long term successor, a defensive midfielder and maybe some under 21 talent from other clubs.
  15. Companies House documents are now free to view using their BETA site. I agree with this post but with the new TV deal we should be looking to grow the club and not be a feeder club to Liverpool!
  16. Mr Lowe wanted to build a 25k stadium when we only could get 15k at the Dell. Casual supporters are put off having to buy in advance and extra seats would soon sell out for many games. Nobody really knows what our maximum gate would be if facilities allowed.
  17. Either results improve or the manager must go? There is no room for sentiment at this level. Why is the second season harder? The truth is the manager needs to get a grip. Or am I mad?
  18. I can see why people are frustrated. The facts are simple in that Spurs attract 5,000 more a game than we do, they have much greater corporate facilities and half of North London as fans. We need to think about expanding our commercial activities as the Chairman has correctly stared but also we need a few thousand more seats and lounges etc. Just look at the sponsorship deals we have and compare them with the top 6 and you can see we have some way to go. On the bright side, it was not that long ago when 4 million was our record signing!
  19. How can it be pointless to be paid money from a partner? I am sure we will have Hill in the ground as the club officially endorses their product. Hopefully we will not be behind Watford for much longer for non TV and league money
  20. Reminds me of Perry Groves. Only managed a few games then retired. A huge risk if they do sign him. I doubt they would get insurance.
  21. I think we will need to invest in a left back, centre forward, wide player and two strikers. Chambers may be useful as a right sided centre back but the issue we will have is blending the team together in time.
  22. Les Reed has stated that all the money raised will be invested in the squad so to say won't is baseless.
  23. Looks like an asset strip from where I sit. I think this will only go so far so the risk of relegation is low. I think the owner will be gone by xmas either through a sale or a fan backlash. There are a few clubs like Reading and Villa with this problem.
  24. It looks like we are going to use the rest of the season to evaluate the youth players who should be ready for first team action. I think we also used the FAC to asses squad players. I expect De Prado and co to go in the summer and three or four fresh faces to come in. Davis will become third goal keeper, Gas will go, a new striker, CB and LB cover will be recruited in addition to a rising star keeper.
  25. He was in the confederations cup and therefore still on holiday
