  1. Financially we will be powerful in the Championship and can mount a challenge. We need to clear out much of the squad and recognise that all three centre backs must go along with Redmond for football rather than financial reasons.
  2. Tax bills will make it impossible for Gao to recover his money. Only a fool would follow this approach.
  3. A fire sale looses money for the owner, relegation costs money and the tax system prevents asset stripping in this form.
  4. The squad is as weak as it has been since promotion. We have purchased and sold a lot of talent but Redmond is an example of poor player purchases. There are some brighter lights in the team but overall we need a rethink as I believe things have not been the same since the talent manager, Paul Mitchell, went to Spurs a few years back.
  5. Survival without question. Millions of pounds, world stage recognition, bigger home gates and continuing club growth. Cup win is great but second tier football is not.

    GAO OUT!!!

Another daft post. Firstly, debts are not secured against the club. That would have been illegal for an asset purchase of this kind in the UK. Secondly, the tax position would leave him at a serious loss. It seems to be rocket science for you!
  7. WBA show courage and conviction to remove failure. Our owner meanwhile celebrates their new year and sees his investment halved in value
  8. Certain. The players are not good enough, nor is the manager or board.
  9. Arrogance extends to the way fans are treated also. !8,000 gates next season will show what people think
  10. The financial situation is different these days. The relegation parachute money is much more than it was even two seasons ago and is now for four years. We also have VVD money. A squad clear out will also raise funds and I hope the board will resign and save us money.
  11. Yes it gives new hope, a new vision and moral lift. Even if we went down it would give the manager a head start in leading the team.
  12. He has done nothing for us. He does not warrant abuse, nobody does, but Noah is not a club benefactor. The family did very well out of the club and made huge profits. You seem to think being in the family warrants respect in its own right. Most people just see him as a fan like everybody else.
  13. With VvD money and the parachute payments we would not be forced to sell. More alarmist crap
  14. It is illegal to asset strip and the club and even if he could the tax man would cripple him. The loans cannot be secured against the club as he owns shares and NOT the club itself. The club is a separate entity to any individual as it is this which owns all the clubs assets.
  15. The tax bill for asset stripping would be massive and shows you don’t understand business. The write down on the value of the club would be cripplin. Acting against the interests of the company would be unlawful. Let’s have a sesnsible debate and not scare monger
  16. I assume the tax fraud and company law breach is ignored by HMRC? Stupid post
  17. True but not that simple. Loan repayments have to come out of dividends as they are not a debt of the company. That would be illegal. Those dividends are taxed. You are looking at 30%+.
  18. He cares about £200 million. He has been to a match but lives in China. Long commute for he average game. No he would not pay for it by selling players. With corporation tax, income tax etc he would be a fool to attempt that kind of cash withdraw. He would loose a mint and nobody who do this.
  19. How do you know what budget is or will be in place? Be real the owner will not want to loose a large chunk of his investment for the sake of a few million!
  20. Our squad is not good enough and has not been so since we sold off the best players. Redmond for Mane being an example. The real problem is Les and his team. I don't see our new owner wanting his investment devalued with relegation. I expect big changes and soon.
  21. There is no legal way the debt could be transferred to the club. Personal debt is just that.
  22. Successive managers have been undermined by player sales and second rate replacements like Redmond. However, the negative back passing and square balls with no end product is down to the coaching team. I think our new owners won't put up with a relegation fight and will sack the manager if we are in trouble in January. I hope he sacks Les as well. This is a very ordinary league this year so hopefully we can buy our way out of trouble with a fresh start at coaching level. Make no mistake £200 million is too much to loose for a new owner.
  23. Saints operate within FFP and some. Our problem is a lack of ambition not FFP. Let's see an end to the so called Southampton way

    MP Sweepstake

Plenty of people would like the Saints job. The lack of ambition is the problem not the ticket paying public who warned the creativity is not here. The Southampton way is bull**** over the long term. I hope our new owner is more ambitious
