We saw them last week when down there visiting. We sat in our car for 5mins, deliberating whether it was safe to leave it or not In the space of that 5mins we saw kids chasing ponies, we watched a lad of 10 or 11 crouch down and have a crap We phoned the Police to report it, but was told there had been hundreds of complaints before us, and it takes weeks to clear them off

I'm a little surprised by that, I thought they had a fans trust running the club? These trusts are supposedly the way forward!!

Nicki Chapman anyone?

That was quite an interesting article, albeit 8 years old Dudley has a larger population than Walsall, yet is absolutely nowhere in footballing circles I suppose all clubs need support to get the ball rolling, and with Wolves, WBA and Villa on your doorstep that makes it pretty tough! Maidstone however are a different proposition, Kent really should have a bigger club than Gillingham I don't live too far from Lincolnshire and whilst it's geographically a largish area, it's not densely populated I think only 120k live within Lincoln, so bigger than some clubs in League 2, but not huge

Hardest ****ing Years/Schools in Southampton...
Huntingdon replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Lounge
That brought a smile to my face Some of the clashes with Hounsdown in Brockenford were legendary -
Ronan Parke........remember the name Actually, don't bother! In 4 years time he'll be called Rhonda and will be wearing a dress

I know someone who ****ged Martine McCutcheon before she was famous

I am quite interested actually I used to work in Jersey, so have a soft spot for them I also used to work with the daughter of one of IOW's Athletics organisers, so fingers crossed it's a successful games for everyone

What would be the true ramifications of England withdrawing their membership of FIFA? I know that means no World Cup, but would the effects be more serious than that? It almost feels worth it, just to see Blatter's reaction to us leaving

People have short memories The system was 'broke', that's why they were introduced. Clubs couldn't make ends meet. If you look at FL attendances, compared to the 80's when they were introduced, they have risen dramatically. Clubs in mid-table in 1985 had nothing to play for from Feb onwards, and attendances reflected that, where as these days they can still sneak into the play-offs Long live the play-offs!!

Totton has a population of around 40,000 these days, and appear to be well supported - I think I'm right in saying they took 15000 to Wembley a few years back With a fanbase like that, and their new stadium, they could easily join Eastleigh in Conference South
-
I remember it well I'm sure all old Saints fans will remember that Ron Atkinson, who had just won promotion and the League Cup with Sheffield Wednesday, was our Number 1 target Good manager and played football that we loved to see, but he stayed at Wednesday How we ended up with Branfoot instead is beyond me

Some nice houses in Chilbolton Avenue I assume this means his family have now moved down here, otherwise you'd expect him to back with them
-
I thought Motherwell looked a very poor side It's almost impossible to compete against two clubs with average gates over 40k when everyone else struggles to gets above L1 averages I'd hate to see Celtic & Rangers in English football though, we don't need them or their sectarian garbage
-
I thought we were hoping to keep him, but he was homesick and wanted to return to USA

In all fairness to the guy, that's a truly terrible song I'm getting sick to death of Liverpool fans banging on about Hillsborough - yes, it was an awful day, but it was 22 years ago, move on They don't even have special occasion memorials, in 2014 it will 25 years, that's fair enough do something then, but not every year I agree with Sambosa, they are a club that revels in self pity I don't see them holding services for the 38 Juventus fans they killed in Heysal
-
I think it would have made it difficult to build a team ready for NPC football, but promotion would have still been expected from L1. Our gates and ultimate income would have been so much greater than most L1 clubs, that 60% of our income would have still given us the largest budgets
-
I'm a little surprised by that, I know a number of posters on here were disappointed we let him go Jake should be able to find another club, I'd be shocked if he slipped into non-league
-
The play-offs have been tinged with disappointment for me Nathan Dyer - superb on Monday Matt Mills - PL class last night Such a shame we couldn't keep them
-
£15Million is an outrageous amount of money, that's what Marcus bought the club for! Now we're in the NPC, we have a stronger base to negotiate from, especially with regards to him potentially being loaned back
-
It's a shame we haven't found suitable lyrics for 'The Saints are Coming' It's a great, repetitve song, and would be unique to us
-
Nathan Dyer has developed into a really good player McGoldrick hasn't (or McGoaldrought as Forest fans call him)

It was interesting to see BT being interviewed on the pitch at Kilmarnock yesterday He's obviously still in Rangers plans to be invited, and he was talking about looking forward to scoring 20+ SPL goals next season It certainly didn't sound like he's about to make a return here
