  1. For dan17, comments like yours show how difficult it is for somebody who doesn't know the area You say avoid parts of Totton, but Totton's crime rate is considerably lower than Shirley & Bitterne (places you're recommending) If you were asking Totton residents which areas to avoid, they'd almost certainly say Woolston & Sholing, or anywhere over the bridge (where you currently are)
  2. That doesn't worry me at all Nigel appears to be a guy of great integrity, who puts a value on loyalty. Realistically, he stayed at S****horpe longer than he needed to, but he felt a duty towards them I think he will be the same with us. Sure, he's ambitious, but I'm convinced he'd rather get there with Saints, rather than jump ship now
  3. This shows how far away from the 1st team Forecast is Saints would want him playing at a higher standard than Conference South if they had hopes for him
  4. Can someone please explain the QPR situation to me? I thought they had some of the wealthiest people in the world in charge, how can they not afford a £1M player having just got promoted to the PL?
  5. Listen, just detach yourself from the ridiculous PC brainwashing that's destroyed our right to a free speech You have to be colour blind not to see the large percentage of blacks involved in these riots and looting That's got nothing to do with Nick Griffin spouting rubbish, it's just plain facts
  6. Rodriguez scored 4 goals for Burnley tonight I somehow think it will cost us big time to persuade Burnley to sell

    Riots

You know what they say.....somebody's loss is somebody elses gain If the police are all in the city centre tackling rioters, just imagine how much money the prostitutes in Empress Road will make! No patrol cars stopping kerb crawlers tonight
  8. I had a feeling that serious social unrest was just around the corner Some of us are old enough to remember the Brixton and Toxteth riots from the early 80's In the middle of recessions, you will find angry and depressed people who feel energised by causing destruction I fear this will escalate into other areas of social divides too, unless the Government acts quick, and gives the Police a green light to open fire If they don't, we will see Mosques being burned to the ground very soon. There is much anger towards our Muslim population and they will feel that anger if the Police don't take control
  9. The comparisons between Theo and Alex will obviously be made. It's interesting to see some posters defend Theo and the progress he made at Arsenal. I have no axe to grind with Walcott, but I beg to differ with regards to the wonderful progress he's made at Arsenal. It was April 2008 when he came off the bench at Anfield in the CL QF, and momentarily transformed the match. That blistering run from his own half, beating 4 players before pulling it back for Adebayor to sweep in an equaliser, it was brilliant, all he needed was consistency Now look at Theo! He hasn't improved one jot in 3 years, he's that same player. Full of speed, but a poor crosser for a wide player, and a total lack of consistency Also, remember that goal for Saints against Luton? A fab lob over their advancing keeper, he hasn't done that for years at Arsenal - his natural finishing has desserted him He's bagged a huge bank balance at Arsenal, but his progress has been disappointing. I've been particularly disappointed in Theo that he hasn't worked harder on his crossing ability I hope Alex doesn't turn out like him if he joins them
  10. That suggests that Cortese wants Adkins to avoid questions on Chamberlain Perhaps I'm reading too much into that, but I think we could see a big signing this week, but also 1 big departure We all know what Cortese is like, he'd rather keep things private until the paperwork is signed

    Bookies

Talking of bookmakers prices, I noticed Victor Chandler are running some special bets on NPC. One that caught my eye was 'Top South Coast Club' They have priced us at Evens to finish above Brighton & Pompey I think that's quite a good price
  12. The man who thinks we play like Dag & Red! I hope that slimy bastard watched us last night
  13. Terrible news for Donny They nosedived in the second half of last season, now they've lost their star striker without getting £3M for him. Good bets for the drop
  14. Last year I had an appointment with a client in St David's in West Wales, and the way back I stopped off to get some lunch at Morrisons in Haverfordwest. Whilst I was standing in the queue, somebody was buying a lottery ticket with Lambert 7 on his back. It's amazing where you meet Saints fans
  15. I notice Papa Waigo is leaving Fiorentina, possibly for Vicenza Fiorentina want £500k for him, but Vicenza only want to pay £250k He was incredibly frustrating, but I was still disappointed he never returned Not sure I'd pay £500k for him though
  16. I should imagine there's numerous add ons, and I bet his wages a fairly big I say this because Burnley desperately wanted him, but couldn't seem to afford him. £750k is a snip, and I'm Burnley could have made that quite easily
  17. I've been invited through work to attend the 'Old Firm' match on September 18th at Ibrox. We'll be in the Rangers end (corporate main stand) Has anyone ever been to one? If so, any advice?
  18. There's another match that stands out in the memory, but for footballing reasons Did anyone go to the Sheff Utd night match in late December 2006? I've never been so cold at a football match, you could actually see the frost spreading across the pitch as the game went on
  19. I have to say, I don't miss The Dell in the slightest, love SMS Best memory, Norwich 4-3 I was in the Kingsland, and when Camara scored it was literally rocking The sad reality though, is that was our last home win in the PL
  20. I'm amazed Pulis found another club, but Jake Thomson appears to still be unattached Thomson was a much better player/prospect I'd be sorry for Jake if he dropped out of the professional game
  21. Did anyone see last weeks when he blew a horn 3 times, and on the third he was standing on another building? I can only guess the victims were actors because they looked pretty freaked out Whatever the trick, it was bloody impressive
  22. I think he's generally talking about other terrible areas in Southampton. I assume the industrial estate Smirking talks about is Empress Road? I'm led to believe that's the main Red Light drag, so he was pretty brave walking down there after dark!
  23. Terrible area I used to be a Pharmacy rep, so I often visited the chemist there It was a constant battle for the pharmacist, people would be regularly breaking in looking for drugs I also used to visit the two chemists in St Mary's Road Being dressed in a suit, the moment I was getting ready to leave prostitutes would descend on me. I obviously looked prime business!
  24. My money's on Blackpool Holloway showed an interest in Goodwillie, so he's obviously got money to burn Boyd is the kind of flair player that would probably thrive under Holloway's new style of management
  25. Major LOL moment
