I'm very surprised Lloyd James has been released Pardew was very keen to praise his contribution earlier in the season

The BNP have added an interesting angle to the debate of immigration, and how it can have negative impacts on existing communities. Forget PC responses for a second, because this clearly does happen from time to time However, the more exposure they had, the more people started to realise who they were & what they stood for - this was ultimately their downfall
-
Having voted for them, I accept they had no choice Lib Dems have been hammering on about PR for years, PR is all about forming alliances If they refused to work with the Tories it would have completely destroyed the PR argument. Also, the Lib Dems want to be seen as a progressive party, so they were hardly going to align themselves with the big losers Labour.
-
This coalition is the best scenario for Labour (even if it doesn't feel that way now) Labour & Brown had become tired and very unpopular. Had they tried to hang on to power, the electorate would have seriously punished them next time round. Now Labour can rebuild, gain strength during 5 years of opposition, and if the coalition is a disaster they will have a good chance of getting straight back in I think the Millibands have a real slimy look about them. Ed Balls appears to be a bit confrontational. This is Labour's problem, they don't appear to have a potential Prime Minister waiting in the wings

I'm sorry BTF, but I have to disagree with you I originally said that England wanted a Tory Government. We can chase our tails quoting % figures, because on that argument there's never been an elected Government that we all wanted If you take away Scottish & Welsh seats, the Tories have an overwhelming majority in England
-
I voted Lib Dem & feel Clegg has to go with the Tories He was adamant that the party with most votes & seats should have the upper hand. If he backtracked on that to form a Government with a very unpopular Labour party & the Scottish / Welsh nationalists, whilst England's political map is a sea of blue, it would seriously damage Lib Dems image. Also, it would look hypocritical to claim PR is the way forward, but ignore the fact England wanting a Tory Government Looking further ahead too, Lib Dems have solid support in Tory seats, they are the second party. So, too side with Labour would be a huge mistake because it would tell everyone in those seats that a vote for Lib Dem is actually a vote for Labour

I realise some posters know Surman personally, and therefore defend him no matter what. I think he was messed around with last season. He's not a left-back and is too lightweight to be top quality central midfielder (I did say the same about Morgan though) However, he hasn't played much at Wolves because he simply isn't good enough for the Premier League. Wolves took a shot because we were bankrupt and seemed a good deal. Drew needs to gauge what he wants from football, if he simply wants to play then he needs to leave Wolves.

Since when did Ladbrokes or any bookmaker offer prices on League 1 managers to get sacked If you're suggesting Ladbrokes turned the bet down because they think Mark Hughes will be appointed this week, then I'm going to question your integrity I'm afraid
-
If Cortese is big enough to sack Pardew after a good progressive season, I'm sure he's big enough to accept some fans not liking him
-
What's happened to our 5 year plan then? We will the bookmakers bankers for promotion next season & successful clubs need stability and continuity My warmth to the owners has started to evaporate - I think Cortese is a complete tosser

is election reform really no.1 in the UKs priority

I notice what the Tories are pushing for is making constituencies the same size This will benefit them big time - the only reason they have missed out on an overall majority is due to having just 1 seat in Scotland Hold on a minute! Scotland has only 5Million people, but quite a number of seats, yet south of Liverpool the political map is a sea of blue -
I don't accept we had a crap team - we had a better team than West Brom (who stayed up) and we had a better team than Pompey (who he kept up the following season) I think he realised he'd made a mistake & his heart was never in it When teams are fighting relegation, there's nothing worse than having a manager who simply doesn't care
-
There's something quite refreshing about companies sacking militant unionists
-
I used to watch the academy at Staplewood a few years back - He was in the same youth team when Gillett was the captain He looked average at best We were in the Prem at the time & he was clearly never going to reach that standard, to be honest I'm surprised he even forged a professional career
-
I'd have £125 on Spurs to finish 4th @ 1.8 This will at least give you your £100 back & then you a free reign to potentially win pick up £1575 on City doing the job
-
Had a brilliant day at Walsall, really enjoyed it Worst one was Swindon - I came away thinking we could be in League 2 next season
-
Losing AP would be a disaster because we'd probably lose Lallana & Lambert too Once football knows Cortese is trigger happy, every manager would be under pressure from day 1 The history books show that Chairman who act in this way invariably take football clubs backwards

I see the silly season has already started I can't believe somebody mentioned Etherington - a genuine LOL moment -
How can anyone slate McLaren for his time at Boro? I'm not defending his England performance - he was crap, but he won Middlesbrough the Carling Cup, took them into a European Final, was instrumental in bringing youngsters like Downing, Johnson & Wheater through, and now has worked miracles in Holland Sadly, I think he is ruined here. People will simply never forgive for his England reign, which is a shame because I think he's a proven club manager
-
Yes, he failed in the England job But don't anyone forget he won Middlesbrough their only domestic trophy and took them to the UEFA Cup final too I'm pleased he's done well at Twente & proved he's a top quality club manager
-
My next door neighbour has a 2nd property in Cambridge He asked the lettings agents if it was OK to refuse any Asians - they said yes that's fine, but they wouldn't be allowed to advertise it
-
I remember when WGS left, Roy Hodgson was linked to us I can't remember 1 single poster supporting his appointment
-
Bad news It's just been released on Sky that Reading have taken up the option to extend his contract by another season
-
Football is all about opinions White hasn't figured at all under Pards, which suggests he doesn't think he's ready, or simply isn't good enough A season long loan in League 2 would give him a chance to shine & give Pardew a better idea of whether he's got a chance to make the grade

That's unfair on AP He clearly doesn't rate Gillett, but there again neither does a large percentage of posters on here
