  3. Got 2 spare tickets for Black Sabbath at the NEC for Fri 20th Dec if anyone's interested. Cover price £40 each. Sorry if this is the wrong page for this. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
  4. Depends on the branch, I've visited loads all over the country and some were brilliant, some downright terrible and some just can't be bothered to help. Sent from my Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 2
  5. Joe Sattriani last Sunday was superb, also looking forward to George Thorogood this Sunday.
  6. It is a fine album. If you booked for a concert however you also had to buy the album.
  7. Does that mean next year BGT will be coming from Hungary?
  8. This came up last week on radio 4 on an article on British-isms getting into American culture. About 3'30" it explains that the British accent makes Yanks feel uncomfortable, showing that villains with british accents have high status but make them uncomfortable. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-22621525
  9. The Vine was superb.

I hear the Weight Watchers site doesn't accept cookies.
  11. I think Woodstock would be my choice.
  12. I saw Stratejacket in either 80 or 81 partly due to a mate who was a roady for them, he would tune the guitars as they couldn't! Also I went to quite a few punk and reggae gigs around that time but being 24 I was seen as way too old to spike and dye my hair as much as I wanted to. As I recall Stratejacket were ok but nothing compared with the established bands.
  13. Good explanation in laymans terms here on this blog. http://redearedrabbit.com/2013/04/20/excel-mistakes-are-the-least-of-our-worries/
  14. Sounds like Mongo from Blazing Saddles [video=youtube_share;O8cDfnQD0ws]
  15. I've managed to get 4 tickets for the last night in Birmingham. Agree it wont be like the ones I used to go to at the "Gaumont", hence I'm sitting down now.
  16. As a constant lurker on SWF, it kind of shows my sense of humour that I feel Bearsy is the best contributor to the off topic parts of this site taking the mantle from Deppo. I'm not saying they are the same, just similar.
  17. Just finished The Code Of The Woosters. Very good Bearsy thanks. I cant get the image of Terry Thomas out of my head with Jonathan Cecil narrating.
  18. I will be sure to try these as I dash up and down the M40!
  19. I do a lot of driving fairly long distances so I download talking books - only the unabridged ones. The Great Gatsby was quite tough due to style of writing, quite a distant style never really finding out much about the characters until well into the book, made it tough going but worth it in the end.
  20. As a new film is due soon - The Great Gatsby. One of those books I felt I ought to read but never bothered.
  21. For me the first Predator The Godfather - any of them as watching one tends to lead to the others. Casino. Pulp Fiction.
  22. My daughter had an accident (not her fault) 2 years ago and only realised she had a cat. D car when her insurance company told her they were cancelling her insurance for not telling them. She shopped around but had to pay £300 more per year. Luckily the dealership we bought it from let her swap cars with another. Moral of this is to always do a car history check.
  23. I was in 125 row DD and I never heard any racial harassment, although the smoke bomb did come from around that area but that's nothing to get your knickers in a twist over. I thought there were quiet moments as there are at all games including at St Marys but overall I felt the support was excellent.
  24. You spotted the Sergio Leone tribute, and the other part you liked - the dumb KKK cowboys, I thought, looked like a tribute to Blazing Saddles. I thought the film was very good and the gratuitous violence is just Tarantino, a bit like Pulp Fiction - the kid getting his head blown open in the back of the car or The ear scene in Reservoir Dogs.
  25. I bought a second hand car last year for work. The salesman persuaded me to get a warranty from Customer Protect for £300 saying that if something like a turbo went they would pay for it. 6 months later the turbo started making a screeching noise and my garage said the turbo was on the way out. The warranty company refused to pay up saying it was normal wear and tear. If it had actually failed fully they would have paid up! I was very P1ssed off! The garage I use say they do a lot of work for RAC warranty and they seem to be one of the best.
