I'm normally an optimist but this has dampened my spirits somewhat.

In my opinion he is one of our most underrated players. The kind of player who you notice when he's not playing and find that the team are missing "something".

Morgan was one of my favourite Saints players. I always thought he was class and I always felt a bit more comfortable watching them when he was in the team (unlike the joey who sits behind me who always complained that he only ever passed sideways or backwards and would "never make it"). It pains me to see him in a Utd shirt but I wish him all the very best.

Not sure I fancy Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona F.C to be honest.

Steven Davis for me, is a player that we miss when he's not playing but many around me can't seem to work out what he's good for when he is playing. Sure, he should be scoring more but he isn't half as bad as many fans make out and in my opinion, a useful asset in the squad. At least he finds himself in positions of chances, disrupts play, and clears the odd goal off the line.

Have renewed my ticket already. Just hoping the most miserable fan in football who sits behind me doesn't.

I'm sure it's been said but Davis is player that many people don't notice when he's playing but everyone misses when he's not! A cracking player in my opinion.

I must say that I prefer this third strip to the away one. Much prefer us in Yellow playing away.

All from Anglo-Saxon Old English: Hampshire gets its name from Southampton. The shire around the town of "Hampton" often being refereed to as "Southamptonshire" in the past. Ham = Village/Estate. Hamm tun = Settlement near a water meadow. Hamtun/Hamton being early names for Southampton. Wic/Wick = Trading place. Hamwic = a combination of Ham and Wic another old name for the area. Although it has been suggested that Hampshire's "Wic(k)" derives from Roman "Vicus" meaning vicinity which could be likely due to the number of Roman settlements along the south coast. The "south" gradually became useful to differentiate between other "Hamptons". The pronunciation "town" has nothing to do with the word or place "Southampton".

Glad I chose this game to take my son for the first time. Missed some of the finer details explaining things to him but worth every minute. Cracking result and great team effort from the lads.

I'm a season ticket holder. I cheer encouragement, jeer the ref when he makes a poor decision, I shout with joy when we score. I don't sing or chant. I sit there and talk the game through with my fellow fans around me but on the whole I enjoy sitting and watching my team (and not singing or changing). Am I not a "real" fan?

Thoroughly enjoyed the match and was proud of our defending and organisation. Credit to Yoshida doing ok somewhat out of position and a good debut for Targett. Alderweireld was immense today. Shame about Morgan's Red but to me, he had little choice other than make the tackle. The only downside was the rather unpleasant Chelsea fan chanting aggressively to a mother and young son Saints fan on the way out through the coaches. Seriously, a grown man in his fifties, even a Chelsea fan, should have more decency than that. Oh, and of course the two "Saints fans" sitting behind me week in week out who want 100% perfection 100% of the time from our players and are only happy when slagging off our players. Top four and above Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs (and Everton). Well chuffed.

Put money on a 6-0 win at 100/1. Think I was the only Saints fan not celebrating the 7th goal! I'd gotten over my monetary loss by the 8th Cracking game.

Perhaps I sit in front of him (and his mate). They have nothing positive to say for the whole time they're watching Saints and never, ever, stay to applaud them at the end.
