People get let off for murder on technicalities. I for one think we shouldn't get the 10 point hit if no rule has been broken. Whether that is morally right or not is beside the point.

It's not "their" collection to sell. It's ours and the generations that follow. The people who left the pieces in the collection left them to the people of Southampton not the council to flog.

For the record, Southampton City Art Gallery has numerous pieces that are worth a mint. It is classed as one of the best regional galleries in the UK outside of London. In theory, the collection is worth more than Saints by a long shot and does have pieces that could dent Saints' financial problems quite easily. However, this isn't about liking or appreciating art over football. The collection belongs to the City and it is the job of the Council to protect it for future generations. As I stated on the echo website I despair at the very idea that we sell one part of our heritage to help another. The idea is short sighted and populist. Just becasue we lack the facilities to show all the pieces in one place doesn't mean we should try to sell them to make a quick buck and help a football club, even if that football club is our beloved Saints. I'm not sure some on here realise the prestige that the collection and gallery brings to Southampton. They are both jewels in the Southampton crown and should both be appreciated for what they are - part of our heritage.

As I said when Pearson kept us up. If Wotte does the job then he deserves a crack at a full season imo. The smugness/tit for tat of some on here is what stops me from posting. Surely we, as Saints fans, are simply happy that the team have won two home games on the trot?

It was an awesome save from where I was sitting (Itchen South). To call it average means either a) you are joking b) you are blind c) you are baiting or d) you are mental. Take your pick. Oh, and to say you've seen better doesn't make it average. It simply means it wasn't the best save in the world ever. I hope you're Joking OBS.

Matt was a great servant of the club but he lacks the balls and willingness to stand up and lead the collective dismay we are all feeling. He doesn't need to be in charge - he needs to lead the charge! He needs to come out and very publicly condemn Lowe & Co and do it on the BBC, ITV, Sky et al... He won't though. Imagine the great ex-Saints players all coming out and voicing their opinions (assuming it is the same as ours) about Lowe and Co. One vioce to spur us on and unite us. It doesn't take much to issue a joint press release!

At least we now have a "Head Coach" who gives instructions while the players on the the pitch. He was in the technical area most of the game which is step up from Jan.

I disagree. Sometimes a few home truths help the resolve. I find it refreshing. I agree that Lowe is the villian here but can't complain about what Wotte said.

I'm not sure he was just blaming the fans. It seemed to me that he was having a pop at coaches, players, directors (past and present) AND fans. And to a certain extent I agree with him.

Not the same fella as the one I see in the Directors' Box week in week out.

If that is the guy he's been a regular in the Director's box, front row next to Lowe for many many matches.
