Can't agree with you I'm afraid. We've been pretty lucky with injuries this season. Take out Ward Prowse, Romeu and Salisa for instance...any one or two of those and we are still not strong enough for a European campaign. We need to stabilise and, maybe a couple of more seasons improvement and then we can think about it!

We don't want Europe at this stage, if at all! Too much hassle and our squad would be very stretched. We would probably be relegated!

Just trying to remember. Didn't Neil Ruddock sit down by the post throughout the half time period to complain against Branfoots management. Since having my stroke I can't quite remember the details. So I think that qualifies as being unusual. Mind you he had some guts to do that and everyone must have agreed with it. Can anyone fill me with the details cos I can't quite remember what happened. Agree wholeheartedly. Jose has been a great servant to this club. I would think that West Ham will be very happy at getting Jose in. No doubt he will sort out their defence just as he did with Portugal after he was drafted in during the Euros. Good luck to him. One of our greats in my opinion.

Well, that's interesting David and , on that day 50 years ago, I was with my mate and our families on a canal holiday on the Grand Union Canal when our transistor radio s parked into life temporarily with the sports news. Yes, it was true. The news of the fantastic deal which took the greatest centre forward of all time to the mighty Saints which transformed our lives. We were there at the Dell for many years to come watching the great man . Why our great club has never built a statue for Ron we will never know! God bless, Ron.
