  1. One more for the rumour mill : http://www.plymouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=157453
  2. New Saints owner posts Jason Mule his redundancy notice - "5 year plans are great" says tyrant .
  3. There doesn't seem very much to worry about at this time - TL's post carries far more weight than the entirely unsubstantiated rumour that started this thread . I'll still be a lot happier when this deal is finally sorted though .
  4. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4423894.Saints_fans_want_boss_with_League_One_experience/ How irksome it is when one man is assumed to be speaking for the entire fanbase .
  5. Or Sheffield Utd possibly : http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4421441.Blades_keen_on_Saint_Drew/
  6. I would like to see Chris Marsden appointed as Chief Arsekicker .
  7. As one of the principle players in the great earlobe controversy of 2008 I resemble that remark .
  8. Newsflash....... first picture of mysterious new Saints owner released .
  9. Simply the best (or at least the most welcome) post I've ever read on here . Sylvia Plath
  10. I've not been overly impressed with Mark Wotte myself but a good first step for any new Chairman might be to sound out what the senior players really think of him - if he has their genuine support then it may be worth giving him some more time .
  11. A pointless signing , just because you come from a Premier League club this does not mean you are necessarily any better than players we already have - young Mills has far greater potential IMO .
  12. Until we know what kind of budget the team will be operating with next season it's all just speculation , but idle speculation is what we do here so ...... Kelvin Davis - Seems to like it here and wants to stay . Very few good judges of the game would be unhappy with that outcome . JPS - Good no nonsense defender , I'd have him back in a New York minute if both sides could agree an acceptable contract . BWP - Could possibly 'do a job' at L1 level but I'd let him go if it were my call . Mule - Decent Midfielder (not a centre forward) but not special enough to avoid a massive pay-cut which may not go down too well . Stern John - Hasn't done much out on loan but certain to be a top striker in L1 , just how deep are Pinnacle's pockets ? Greg Rasiak - Quality player in a similar situation to Stern , but even less likely to stay unfortunately . Michael Svensson - Time to call it a day with regard to playing surly . A popular coaching appointment nevertheless and future manager ?
  13. They'd be better off concentrating on getting the on line ticketing system working properly before tarting up the graphics . At least someone's working on the assumption that we'll still have a club in a months time I suppose .
  14. Or somebody is leaking Echo story's on here before they're published - perish the thought !
  15. You must be joking ! I can hardly remember what I was doing this morning - I do seem to recall a vague memory of Adam Blacklaw being a bloody good keeper though .
  16. It's taken Burnley 33 years to get back to the top - as I may well not live to 2038 I'm kinda hoping the Saints display a greater sense of urgency .
  17. There's a good gag in the Echo asking is Pat Le Tissier involved
  18. "I could dance with you until the cows come home - on second thoughts I'll dance with the cows until you come home" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtWaOI2sHsY
  19. 5.30 am -pah! you're only a novice insomniac . I've been wide awake watching old Marx Brothers movies for at least 45 minutes by then .
  20. You Sir need to come down off your high horse . It's amazing how many on here have not cottoned on to the seriousness of our current situation - this club is on the very brink of extinction tonight and anyone helping to rescue it from the abyss of liquidation is welcome I'd say. I really couldn't care less about an embarrassing TV interview dug up from the achieves , given the choice who would you prefer Walter Mitty or the Grim Reaper ? If this is the only acceptable offer on the table then the Administrator will take it - it's as plain and simple as that and your bizarre 'rush to judgement' with it's accompanying one fan boycott is neither here nor there .
  21. There's something of the Arthur Daily about him (perhaps he could borrow Rupert's cashmere coat) but if he can put a deal together and save the club then he deserves the respect and support of all fair minded Saints fans I'd say . It was wrong to slate Lowe just because he came from a relatively privileged background and it's equally wrong to attack this guy because he had to work for a living .
  22. If SFC were a car .......
  23. I understand the legal duty on the Administrator to get the best price possible but this degree of brinkmanship may well backfire and scare any potential buyers off - sell the club Mr Fry , sell it soon .
  24. Well I don't suppose anyone on here knows the all the details to be honest (I certainly claim no inside knowledge) but there is a fundamental difference between easily returnable goods (title of which may still be retained by the supplier) and cash on a balance sheet . It's my understanding that HMRC are very much 'first among equals' when it comes to getting paid in this type of situation and LC would have done very well indeed to obtain an absolutely watertight repayment agreement from the Administrator .
  25. It's a generous and praiseworthy gesture in either event I'd say . In all probability if the administrator liquidates the company (as has been suggested) Leon would have to take his place with all the other creditors and he may well lose the lot .
