  1. Stern John out of contract = £0 Gregorz Rasiak £250,000 (if not out of contract) Marek Saganowski £250,000 David McGoldrick £500,000 Adam Lallana £500,000 Andy Surman £500,000 Kelvin Davis out of contract = £0 LLoyd James £100,000 Rudi Skacel £250,000 (if not out of contract) Bradley W-Phillips out of contract = £0 Morgan Schneiderlin you would have to pay someone to take him away, he is that crap (and yet still some people believe he'll end up at Arsenal!!) Total = not very much.
  2. Why on earth would you keep Schneiderlin? Absolute pathetic waste of £1.2m, but apparently he'll be going to Arsenal soon. If they had a few injuries he might get in their ladies team.
  3. You obviously move in different circles to me because I can honeslty say that in all my time following Saints in the 80's and 90's away from home (and I was a snotty teenager during some of this period) the only truuble I was ever involved in was at Liverpool when some locals had a go at us.
  4. All I can say, and I don't mean any offence at all by this, is that you must be one of the younger generation of fans who have never experienced decent atmospheres in proper football grounds with a bit of character (The Dell, Baseball Ground, Roker Park etc etc). The atmosphere at St Mary's is woeful. I'm only 36 but fully accept that I sound like a "grumpy old man everything was better in my day" type!
  5. For some comments even more hilarious than the ones above, see your posts before the start of the season saying that we were going to win the league.
  6. This story is definitely true. My Mum's car was parked right next to where it happened and she had to leave it there as the police had cordoned the area off. She had to get a lift home from the police and from the sound of it they are worried that the Cardiff fan might not survive. Apparently he fell back and cracked his head on the pavement. Whatever happened and whatever the stories we will inevitably here about who was in the right or wrong let's hope he pulls through.

    Marcus North

I didn't think you liked the Echo?

    Marcus North

Can't see us having any chance of getting either of them as the Aussie Cricket Board just wont allow it with both of them being certs for the Ashes squad if fit. We've had bad luck with overseas players recently, everytime we pick one they get called-up by their country - Watson last season, now North and no doubt Tahir will be next, I doubt very much we'll see him this season either.
  9. People been talking loudly in the carpark again?
  10. Oh well, if it included the words "finances" and "money" in the middle of a public carpark it must have been serious stuff. I will draw my own conclusions thanks - yet another poster to add to the list of BS merchants.
  11. How do you see two people involved "in serious discussion about finances". Are you a good lip reader? Because of that comment, anything else you say about "sources" becomes totally uncreditworthy (if that's a word) IMO.
  12. My conclusion is that the "good source" was a taxi driver and the "very good source" was a steward, maybe even a head steward. Nothing against you "Lorsdwoodsaints" but the amount of posters on here with "sources" is frickin hilarious. Every single member of staff at St Mary's must rush home after work each day and spill all to their friends to post on TSW. And quite how do you "see" two people in serious discussions about finances -could they not have been talking about the weather, what they were having for tea or how much they'd like to have a threesome with Lucy Pinder?
  13. Too easy - Perry, Euell, BWP and Wotton. Next? (except i haven't got any posts left!).
  14. Exactly, so the first thing a manager with half a brain would do is leave them out. JP is so out of his depth it's embarassing, back to Dutch park football please.
  15. Without a doubt the worst Saints starting eleven in my 30 years supporting them. Whilst I accept that Perry, Euell and BWP aren't world beaters (in fact they're only average Championship players at best) I can't accept that they're not good enough to be in that 16.
  16. Blimey, from your usual patronising bs about this being the best football you've seen since the 80's to giving up on the club - that's one hell of a u-turn!
  17. It's ok, you think we're going to win the league.
  18. If ever any thread sums up how far we have fallen it's this one. We sound like one of the non-league clubs with everyone creaming themselves about having the chance of playing the mighty Man U. It feels like a lifetime away that we played them twice every season and gave them a fair few spankings along the way. Also, I think the police will need to be on their guard that day as there will be plenty of Mancs out for revenge after one of their fans got beaten into a coma last time they were here.
  19. Sorry INS, haven't got pm facility (can't afford the £5 due to the exorbitant mortgage rate I'm paying!). Where did you get your 0.79% tracker as that sounds a seriously good deal?
  20. Just seen Coppell on Sky and he said that after their first minute chance we completely bossed the game and were by far the better team. Nice to hear a manger praising us after we've beaten his team, usually it's after we've lost that they say nice things. Also a nice change to hear a manager being magnaimous in defeat, take note Wenger, Benitez etc.

    Oldham chase deaths

I went to that game dressed as Mr Blobby. True story.
  22. Because if you know the guy that well that you know his exact weekly wage then you would know how to spell his first name. Quoting it as a fact when it is nothing of the sort unless you can back it up with evidence is no different to me saying I know for a fact that you are wrong and I dont care whether you believe me or not.
  23. Seeing as you can't even spell his forename (and it's not difficult) I doubt very much you know for a fact what his salary was.
  24. Seeing as you can't even spell his forename name (and it's not difficult) I doubt very much you know for a fact what his salary was.
  25. The Monks Brook in Chandlers Ford was my local for most of my early drinking days (16-23) then transferred to the Horns Inn in Nursling for a short while and then back to Chandlers Ford and either the Halfway or the King Rufus (depending on whether I wanted a fight or some grub!!). Only joking, the Halfway wasn't that bad at all. Sadly now my local has a PO postcode (The Sir Joseph Paxton in Titchfield Common) so rarely venture in there. My matchday local is the Northam Club (classy joint) and my work local is the Exchange in Winchester (fit barmaids).
