  1. Ah, home end tickets. Fair enough. Would be highly skeptical of any claim to get away end ones given the ID checks that'll be in place for the away end.
  2. I'd be very suspicious of those claims.
  3. It's the law in Italy (think it might be limited to away ends) - saw around a dozen turned away in Turin when England played Italy last year because their ID didn't match the ticket.
  4. They do - every single ticket is checked by police at the gate for the away end, not sure if it's a requirement in the home end.
  5. This is correct. Not sure how practical is it for this sort of situation, though, unless they start selling them very soon.
  6. Did that actually happen?!
  7. Worth bearing in mind it's almost guaranteed that the club will do 100% collections for this one as well, due to the small allocation...
  8. Giving it a swerve now, as you say it would be pretty tight even if we were able to make a quick getaway from the stadium. Hiring a minibus for a return journey from Tel Aviv on the day, heading straight back after the game.
  9. Would be very surprised if you didn't get one. Reckon there's probably only around 800 or so who qualify with either Midtjylland or 12 aways, and not everyone's going to be able (or willing) to go to Israel at a month's notice.
  10. They're already committing to one-day sales intervals, no reason to suggest that'll change. It could get down to general sale within a week, I don't see how that's unreasonable.
  11. You'd like to think that the ticket office will be quite proactive on this and pester Inter for more tickets if the demand looks like being there - the blocks below the away end will almost certainly be closed for the game, so it's not like we'd be taking seats away from locals. That said, for all the "we'll take 10k there" bravado I've seen from many, there are only so many flights into Italy on the days leading up to the game, and the cost of getting and staying there will rise from now on. 5k might end up being enough to satisfy demand (and make no mistake, that's still a ****ing good turnout in another country - England don't take that many to away qualifiers these days), especially if people who think they might miss out plan ahead and get tickets in other parts of the ground.
  12. The problem with the Vitesse game is that I reckon barely half of that away end was populated by the people who actually qualified for the tickets in the first place, so the numbers the club have are just completely unreliable. At least with Midtjylland, because everyone had to collect in person, they know who was actually there.
  13. And then risk people like you complaining when season ticket holders with no aways surprisingly snap up all the tickets? Why would they want that hassle and negative PR? I'm sure that after the first few days, the qualifying number of aways will drop by steeper numbers, i.e. down from 12 to 10, then maybe to 7, then 3, then 1, then anyone.
  14. Yeah, I'll be amazed if anyone books up for that, unless of course it enables those who might not otherwise qualify for a ticket to jump the queue... the article on the OS doesn't specify whether there is qualifying criteria for that.
  15. I'm staying just around the corner from Porta Ticinese, which seems to be pretty central. Loads of restaurants and bars around that area, by the look of it.

  20. Would imagine half the teams who played last night will be in the same boat, tbf.
  21. Good to see Pompey doing their bit for #BTeamBoycott by getting out of the competition as quickly as possible
  22. Still can't believe the FA impose a minimum admission fee, should be for the clubs to decide themselves. If the away team objects because of their share of the revenue, then someone mediates. Ridiculous situation.
  23. Except that's not the way it works.
  24. I think season ticket holder seats are reserved until tomorrow, so they wouldn't show as available to members yet whether they've been sold or not. That said, I'd expect most people to take up the option, it's good value.
