  1. 3-0
  2. Two goals in two minutes midway through the second half, we're 2-0 up with 10 to play
  3. There is an option for those coming by train to change at Clapham Junction, get the Overground to West Brompton, District Line to Earl's Court, then the Richmond branch of the District Line back to either Gunnersbury or Kew Gardens - some decent pubs south of the river by Kew Green, the Botanist and Cricketers are pretty good and much bigger than most of the ones near the ground. Good luck to anyone trying to get a pint in the Express Tavern
  4. Oh FFS Train to Richmond and the 65 bus it is, then...
  5. We never travel well to Everton, really. Shit ground, shit away end, and we've got an appalling record there. Not much to like about it, really Surprised so many games made general sale if your recall is correct, but in general our away numbers have been considerably up post-Covid - absolutely no way we'd have sold out Leeds away in the past, for example.
  6. Especially when you look at the bottom of the Championship above - Coventry United will almost certainly be relegated as they are 5 points adrift with 2 games to play (having been deducted 10 points for the financial issues they had just before Christmas), but Watford above them have only won 2 games all season yet will stay up.
  7. Not aware of any issues at the corresponding game at Fratton Park earlier in the season, and the away fans were in the Fratton End with the great unwashed
  8. I believe the guy who maintained statto.com died quite suddenly, which is why it disappeared completely for a while - think someone paid the hosting fees to ensure the site was visible again, but it's not been updated since near the end of the 2016/17 season.
  9. I think our bowling attack stacks up well against anyone in county cricket, but as mentioned earlier the batting is still a bit of an unknown against a full-strength Div 1 bowling unit. Somerset were without a whole host of players for this game, including Overton and Leach, so while it was a very good performance to win in the way we did, it needs to be taken in context. This week against Surrey at the Oval will be a much tougher examination, I think, especially considering our appalling record there.
  10. Yeah, it seems as though the football units at various police forces maintain (or extend) their funding based on the number of convictions and FBOs handed out. My point was more that the police will automatically apply for a FBO if the magistrate is satisfied that the defendant is guilty of the offence charged - clearly they were not designed as a punishment but in reality that's what they're used for. It's quite hard to predict somebody is going to cause disorder in advance, especially someone not known to the authorities.
  11. We, as excellent shithousers in this league, were out-shithoused that afternoon. Wolves are eye-bleedingly bad to watch, but they are incredibly effective.
  12. Assuming they are dealt with by the police, then they would be up in front of a magistrate at some point in the not-too-distant future - it is covered by Section 4 of the Football (Offences) Act 1991. The police would almost certainly make a request for a Football Banning Order to be imposed as part of the punishment should the magistrate determine the offender was guilty of the charged offence. The FBO prevents the offender from attending football matches in the top 5 tiers of English football (and usually requires the offender to surrender their passport to their local police station whenever England or their club team play overseas), and while the order itself is a civil order, breaching it is an automatic criminal offence.
  13. From what I remember of conversations, I have a suspicion @Dan Sheldon, The Athletic fed him that snippet and then used it on the US coverage of our games as if he'd spotted it himself.
  14. Upload capability is only for paid subscribers, I'm afraid. There are image hosting services available elsewhere, such as imgur - they would then give you a URL that you can copy and paste into your posts.
  15. I watched the whole game (vested interest in the away side ), and thought he was OK for the most part, especially considering the context of this being his senior debut, being thrown straight into the first team after one training session and in a team that has been mostly terrible this season, up against a team currently chasing an automatic promotion place. Not really sure how much blame he should take for the two goals, tbh. First one isn't a great header but as you say he did pretty well to stop the initial cross when there were two attackers coming in behind him. Second goal is just a good team goal, IMO, really well worked between the lines and a quality through-ball that at that level is probably a 1 in 10 chance that it goes right into the attacker's path. The one big mistake he made was actually in the second half where he made a bit of a mess of intercepting a long ball down the middle which allowed the striker a run on goal but he atoned for the error by getting back to make an excellent block. He looked comfortable on the ball (unlike most of his team mates) and seemed to be doing a lot of the defensive organisation, which says a fair amount both for his leadership qualities and also the lack of them among the rest of the Carlisle defence!
  16. Apologies, this should now be sorted

  23. Good to have the old Hampshire back...
  24. Scott Currie comes in for Mason Crane at the Oval, sounds like a bit of a green top. Can't say I've seen much of Currie, apparently it's his second first-class game, so I assume he must have featured last season at some point?
  25. Doesn't appear to be a "result" wicket, although I guess it might suddenly crumble to pieces on day 4. Not sure there's any merit in being awarded points for batting best on a road in the first innings, tbh.
