  1. So the court case is now a formality, lets hope its just a case of crossing the i's and dotting the t's then! Surely HMRC must have something to say about keeping on a CEO who has overseen the demise of the club on £35k per month!! PFC have not really done anything to dent the overall wage bill - it would appear that none of the players have deferred or taken a cut so how much have they taken off the rumoured £4m per month bill? Given their negligible income until the end of the season, are they in a position were they are now trading solvently? Edit - should have read the Telegraph article first - will Chainrai actually put his hand in his pocket though?
  2. Wasn't Storrie on £1.2m so he's now going to have to suffer only getting £700k pa, I mean its not as if they're in any finincial trouble or anything, is it? How on earth can the administrator justify that one decision alone. If I was HMRC then that is one of the first things I would be bringing up in court (if they get the chance)
  3. This forum is nothing if not educational.... uo until today I'd never realised my computer had an alt gr key
  4. Brilliant comment... head...sand.... and they reckon the price of the club is going up!! It was overvalued by about £35m when they were asking £30m!!!! LMAO
  5. So Chester City's results have been expunged from the Conference today - with a new table to be published this afternoon without any of their results included. Easy for the Conference to sort out - come on PL, you know it makes sense!
  6. Why would a club that owes £70-80m, pre-pay one of their debts? That just does not make any sense until you realise that the creditor is Chainrai. And I would assume that the £4m that they have used was the £4m that they were going to pay to HMRC? Or did that really exist? So the administrator is still seeking £30m for working capital - I thought he had 'secured' the funds to see them through to the end of the season - and he wants this months wages from any interested party!! There has already been savage cutbacks in staff - errr where?
  7. Well, for their sake, I hope they have as it would appear that PFC won't be getting their grubby mitts on any of their prize money http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/article7053083.ece Actually just listening to Talksport this morning and they have an advert for the anti-terrorist hotline - if you see anything suspicious... there's no such thing as a wasted call.... does that include money laundering arms dealers? Sooooo tempting!!
  8. Harry Redknapp being interviewed live on Talksport at the moment. Not said much about Pompey but two interesting things: indicated there was a bit of tension behind the scenes (Edit: just before he left to go to Spurs) and Pompey got £5m compensation for him going to Spurs.
  9. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/mar/07/portsmouth-havant-waterlooville-groundshare LOL moment of the morning "The trust would plan for temporary seating, taking the capacity at Havant up to a minimum of 6,500. Mike Hall, a trust member and key architect of the proposal, said: "The initial plan is to use Fratton Park, and only move if this is unavailable. If we were able to stay I would expect the average gate to be higher in the Conference than it has been in the Premier League this season." Interestingly half listening to Talksport this morning with Mark Saggers & Micky Quinn - Quinn is just being his usual Pompey supporting self - they've got a journalist on (think he might be from the Guardian) who has just mentioned the suspicion that Arkadi Gaydemak might be behind it all. Both the hosts ignored it, but thats the first time I've heard Arkai being mentioned like that!!
  10. To be honest Hutch, I'm not sure what the administrator can do right now. If he makes people redundant, how does he stand if he then found to be appointed incorrectly? There are so many grey area's around this case, a cynical person might come to the conslusion that these grey areas have been brought in to delay things long enough for PFC to get to the end of the season & get the sky money before dying.

  12. Good observations Hutch and would agree with you. One question however. Can (and would) the courts accept a court appointed administrator on the basis that Baloo transfers the £15m to an account controlled by the administrator - and failure to comply with that, the court will move on to 3. the winding up order?
  13. In reality, Android is only doing what Fry did with us and making an attempt to appeal the points deduction. The FL turned us down, and even bent their own rules to fit, denying a right to appeal so that they made sure we were punished - but what about the PL. You have to remember that the PL are desperate for PFC to be relegated so there is no way (IMO) that they will waive the 9 point deduction.
  14. If the PL did this, after yesterdays performance, then they really could be opening themselves up for further ridicule/critisism. There primary aim is to maintain the 'integrity' of the PL - can they do that by bailing out a club who have been less than honest to the High Court to avoid a WUO. This would be huge risk for the PL, and for that reason I don't think they will bail out PFC. Edit: if the judge thinks he's been lied to - surely this will be looked into
  15. 5 goals from 5 different scorers & a clean sheet as well, fantastic. Let's hope we can keep the run going on Saturday.
  16. Android will be on at about 8.30 apparently
  17. Just announced that the Android will be on Talksport after 7pm tonight. Be interesting to hear what he has to say.
  18. Talksport have just said that been in contact with HMRC - apparently this is HMRC's way of getting information about the administration. They expected it to be adjourned for a few days for the administrator to come back to them with the info. Adrian Durham's response was their query was "where's our money?"
  19. I think you're spot on GM, I also queried this at the time. I don't think this is going to be resolved quickly either so reaching 20,000 posts shouldn't be a problem.
  20. In eighteen & half thousand posts, this is quite possibly one of the funniest things I have seen posted. Mero, are you genuinely trying to say that Storrie could not be categorised as a 'normal business risk'? Four owners seem to think so!!!!
  21. The problem is Weston, which creditors will see it? I can see Chainrai & Gaydemak getting most of their funds back, but I fear for the local traders and St Johns Ambulances.
  22. Not sure, but given the going-on's at Notts County this season, I doubt it!
  23. The ignorance of the media continues to astound me... Andronikou, who has a reputation for playing everything by the book, is duty-bound to sell to a buyer who is in the best position to take the club on. Errr, no he's not. He is duty bound to get the best deal for the creditors, and as we know that nearly took us to the wall last year. And as for Lineker's comment on MOTD last night, well lets just say you can tell he's an ex-footballer (no brain whatsoever).
  24. By the way - does anyone know how SBT's grand chess tour of Russia is going? Will he be allowed out or has his debt to the Kazakh's risen to £100m yet?
  25. Gotta love this quote at the end... "We would like to ask the fans, the staff and management of Portsmouth Football Club for their support and patience should this step be taken, as they believe it is the only route left open to them. The serving of this notice means the winding-up order is automatically suspended. It means the club is safe, it can fulfil its fixtures and as far as is possible, it is business as usual." So what business would that be then... media spin, not paying the bills, spiriting any income out of the country (allegedly of course), trying ignore what the courts are saying and of course, losing on the pitch!!
