  1. Just when you thought they couldn't get any lower, this is pure theft & if this doesn't get the police sniffing round Farton then nothing will.
  2. For me, managing the expectations will be the key - and that is what pleased me the most about our JPT victory. We won convincingly on the big occasion when we were expected by everyone to win. That showed a change of mentality from where we've been for many a year. My expectation is 1st or 2nd - nothing else will do, but I agree with someone's comment earlier that we shouldn't jump on AP's back if we lose our first game - crikey look at Norwich this season, how did they start?
  3. For a million, not a chance. But on a free, if the wages were right as a replacement for Wotton? Unless you've got a better defensive midfielder in mind than wouldn't be the worst deal in the world. Edit: Although O'Hara is complete c**t, I would have him in my team any day of the week - unfortunately he'll be playing in the prem whether its at Spuds or somewhere else.
  4. Don't bother with humane traps - very nice idea but complete waste of time. Simple spring loaded trap with a sliver of chocolate (as Chez recommended). I should know, live in an old tenement flat in Edinburgh & I've been catching them on & off for a while. In the meantime, enjoy getting the tv to yourself!!
  5. Not one I know - take a stab at Malta's national stadium.
  6. It seems that Comical Andy's sloppiness is catching - ISM list the wrong player following the mis-spelling of player names on the 70 page document released earlier in the week. My favourite from that was trying to list Hermann Hreidarsson twice on the list of player liabilities- and spelling his name wrong both times but in two different ways. Anyway - what did Storrie-teller value the squad at in court (under oath I presume)? £35m wasn't it? They've lost £5m already - won't take them long to lose another £5m off that valuation...... .... see gone already!!!
  7. My understanding is that the employee is responsible for the correct amount of tax being paid ie if the employer does not deduct sufficient then the employee is still liable. However in collecting tax/ni contributions the employer acts as an agent for HMRC, therefore if they have deducted an amount which is showing on a payslip given to the employee, the employee is no longer liable. How that then sits with the employer in not forwarding the payment to HMRC, I don't know. A P45/P60 will only confirm the amounts received by HMRC.
  8. Well just to help it along, I emailed Danny Kelly's show this afternoon on Talksport with the link. Didn't get read out but hopefully it will start the ball rolling. If Stan Colleymore is on tomoroow, it would be worth emailing him given his rant yesterday about shutting Portsmouth down.
  9. Okay Okay I'm not really an administrator - Arkadi asked me to pop back & bury the evidence, so the real accounts are under the penalty spot at the Fratton End surrounded by some of Arkadi's finest landmines.
  10. I seem to remember (might be wrong though) that we were discussing why season tickets hadn't gone on sale, and MF indicated that until there was some confidence of being able to fulfil our fixtures in the following season, we could not offer season tickets for sale. I would imagine the same applies at Pompey - after all, they are even more likely to be unable to fulfil their fixtures next season.
  11. "I'm hoping that by finding a payment of £560k to an unauthorised agent, the authorities won't find a payment of £2m to the unauthorised administrator."
  12. Well, it appears that some of the Pompey fans are trying to do something about the St Johns Ambulance debt... http://www.justgiving.com/pompeyfans4stjohnsambulance Fair play to them for doing this
  13. Good to see that the moral standing of Pompey fans is going to wait until they've enjoyed their day out at the Cup Final before complaining about the cheating way they got there!! Priceless. As for Gaz's response Of course, Peter Storrie-teller would have been at the heart of this being CEO under ALL of the owners involved, and Pompey fans were more than happy to chant his name.
  14. Beckham free kick goals?
  15. Ahhh, I believe that one is St Etienne's ground where England lost to Argentina in France 98 - the link is England have played at both grounds in the WC 2nd round. (Beat Ecuador at Stuttgart in 2006) Assume the other pic is one of the France 98 grounds but still don't know which one it is.
  16. The FA has, since the PL split from it, lost power to the PL as money is everything. Under normal circumstances, now would have been an ideal time for the FA to take a stand and try and regain some power back from the PL - however they themselves are without a Chief Executive, so you have to wonder who is currently is charge. I see this as a great missed opportunity. Still, will be interesting to see the PL's reaction now that the proverbial has hit the fan. How are they feeling about their integrity right now?
  17. Hmm - no idea on the first one. I'll take a guess at TSG Hoffenheim's new stadium. The second one is (I think) Stuttgart's Gottlieb-Daimler Stadion.
  18. Standy, in your opinion, what would it take for the Vantis SOA to be raised in court again - does it take the HMRC to go back to the high court? or can the judge bring the case back if she feels she has been duped?
  19. Looks like its been pulled for now. Edit: Slightly different link http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2010/apr/22/portsmouth-football-creditors-money-millionaires
  20. Well, today the tide has definately turned. Now where is Corpy to give us his view of today's production?
  21. Yes - Barry Hearne on Talksport Bigger issue here - it is an offence to trade whilst insolvent - someone has been running this business, you can't get £100m in debt without knowingly trade insolvent. Other clubs are not livinbg in the real world - its cheating. Spurs beaten by a side who they couldn't afford. The poor fans is just a smokescreen.
  22. Stan Collymore on Talksport has continued to rip into them - £3m on image rights - for players who couldn't sell a teacup!!! Says someone should be looking into that (HMRC) Mark Saggers - should they still be allowed to play in the cup final? Mark Saggers & Danny Kelly agreed on the handover as they were both company directors, if it had been their companies, then they would be in jail by now.
  23. +1 Think that sums it up for me
  24. Spot on
