  1. The Sun (I know) reporting on Twitter that Swansea offering £120k pw to Nicolas Gaitan of Athletico Madrid.
  2. Come on CB, don't keep us in suspense! Or if anyone else knows?
  3. Absolutely. Lemina is not following Dele Alli's runs at all. Hojbjerg is just too slow.
  4. Carillo not in the Monaco squad today against Metz. Anyone know if he's injured?
  5. Sunday Supplememnt just reported he's been sacked by Watford. CHDAJFU? Lot's of people on here wanted him so...
  6. Brighton completed the signing of Jurgen Locadia from PSV Eindhoven for an undisclosed amount.
  7. Last week, Carrillo was valued at 15m euro's, this thread started with 17.5m, and now Monaco have rejected 20m euro's. Epic work Les, you can't even sign a player who's massively overpriced.
  8. Ed Aarons from the Guardian is saying on Twitter that Monaco have rejected a 20m Euro bid from Saints for Carrillo.
  9. Mind you, that Kylian M'Bappe wasn't too bad last season for them.
  10. At a guess, I would say its because after the New Year we didn't have Austin but Gabbiadini had come in and VvD was out. The only other major change was the loss of J-Rod. So that squad most closely resembles what Mo Pe has had (although he's also had Lemina & Hoedt). In answer to the question, we had 6 wins (at home to Leicester & Crystal Palace, away to Sunderland, Watford, West Brom & Boro), 2 draws and 9 defeats. Compares to the current record of 4 wins, 9 draws and 10 defeats in 23 games.
  11. If that's correct then maybe he can help solve some of these problems of the midfield collapsing onto the defence every 2nd half. We do need someone vocal in the back four/five which we don't have at the moment. At £1.5m even Les will like the cheapness of the solution. Has to be worth taking a chance at that price.
  12. Another Bas Dost hat-trick for Sporting tonight.
  13. Just watching the Levante v Celta Vigo game, Sisto looks really good for Celta. Pacy, good finisher but can also pass the ball well & tracks back. Wonder how much he'd cost? Valued at £13.5m on Transfermarkt. Did play against Saints for Midtyjlland in the Europa League, anyone remember how he played then?
  14. He's done okay, but did concede 6 at Falkirk last weekend!
  15. Meanwhile Carillo starts for Monaco.
  16. Thanks Noodles, sorry to disappoint you but I have.
  17. Funny, I thought the Mayor of Liverpool had the job of trying to improve that sh!thole of a city, not line the pockets of Iranian businessmen.
  18. It's a nothing story. Yes, Liverpool are the lowest priced team for Tadic to join at 4/1, however he's 1/5 to stay at Saints. Blimey you have he join's anyone else for 10/3 if you think he's off.
  19. Ralph to Les : "Are you sure this the only way to make Mauricio play the Southampton Way?"
  20. Sky Sports reporting that West Ham are interested in Alfie Mawson from Swansea, who we've been linked with. Swansea apparently confirmed they've had no offers for Mawson, so would possibly indicate that we're not interested if that's true as you would presume we would have made enquiries and put in an offer by now if we were that interested. But this is Saints after all...
  21. Certainly not an evening kick-off. Was my first away game as well, aged 7, got right down the front but didn't have a box to stand on. Some very kind fan got his son to share his box with me so I could see over the all at the front! Jeez I feel old now!!
  22. It's sad, but so much of what I see on the pitch reminds me of 2005. A lack of the basic ability to pass the ball, a total inability to build on leads in the first half & defence/midfield dropping deeper and deeper until we concede until we lose, and a general lack of motivation aomngst the players. I'm not a fan of sacking managers mid-season but, provided a suitable replacement can be found, I don't see what the alternative is. Last season, we lacked goals but at least Puel had us organised and with hindsight, probably got the best out of the group of players. Under Pellegrino, we are not seeing any improvement.
  23. Okay so who is he then? Since it was so public then surely you must know. Or maybe it's someone who is not high profile that wouldn't be instantly recognisable and could be kept under the radar. Frankly, if it was Walcott then I'm sure it woiuld have been all over the press.
  24. Only Liverpool & Arsenal didn't play on the Saturday we played Huddersfield. There were 3 non 3pm kick-offs, Everton v Chelsea was the lunch time game, Burnley v Spurs at 5pm ish and Leicester v Man Utd was the evening game.
