Maybe that says more about the decline in quality if football in the Czech Republic than anything else....
-
Not able to watch it on the tv but catching the odd report on the radio. Is that Tomas Pekhart (that useless loanee that we got from Spuds) that has just come on for Sparta? Another striker who was useless for us but goes on to bigger & better things?!
-
Can't be bothered to read what everyone else has written so apologies if someone else has already said this. Why are we so bothered about a Bournemouth reporter getting a hot insight into the future? we (having been around the club for years and many in number) can't get the merest sniff of any leak out of the club - so pardon me whilst I wait a while and see what actually happens.

Not as spicy as it used to be as they now ban away fans - even changed the Dutch cup final to a 2 leg match when Ajax & Feyenoord were due to play in the final as the police didn't want to have to deal with the problems (think it was 2009) Been to Barca v Real and the Camp Nou - awesome atmosphere, but would have to agree with the OP - Boca v River Plate is one that is def on my list as well. Not been to Celtic v Rangers yet, but have done Hearts v Hibs - ok but not a patch on us & Poopey and it doesn't help that both sides are pretty rubbish!

Maybe he's studying some Russian in preparation. Here's a starter phrase for him to use.... Здрав твуйте меня зовут Шлюха Corpy и добро пожаловать в амую большую валку, которую Вы видели, тех пор как Вы закончили бомбить Chechnya which translates as (according to my on line translator) Hello my name is Corpy Whore and welcome to the biggest dump you have seen since you finished bombing Chechnya

No just checked and it was Griffins http://www.accountancyage.com/aa/news/1809140/pompey-administrators-hit-alternative-cva-proposal Edit: Hmm Baker Tilly were the accountants involved with the Rob Lloyd group http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/apr/06/rob-lloyd-portsmouth Not sure if that's good news or not....
-
Agree, there are far more interesting games on tonight.. Argentina v Portugal France v Brazil Germany v Italy and even Spain v Colombia
-
Best of luck to both lads
-
Oh there's some classic info on there - um if the Russians are funding the takeover of Rangers won't that leave them a bit short of funds for other plans?! Although this paragraph caught my eye.... Hmm they'll fit in perfectly!!:lol:

You mean payday this month.... it's on the 30th February I believe!!!
-
I've been wondering why this hadn't happened already? Maybe because 1 admin (years ago) was in the FL and this one was in the PL?
-
South Africa is the place to sell it, I believe. Here's some people you could try contacting as they appear to need some.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/9387517.stm

Ah but players going out don't really count, it's all about what they get in. But glad they haven't got rid of Ben Haim (is he now back from West Ham?), Brown, Hughes & Herman who will still be drawing their wages!!
-
What a great transfer window - other than Utaka, the few have managed to not shift Ben Haim, Brown, Hreiddeson and Hughes so they're still clogging the books up with their wages and they've managed to buy nobody!!!

Sky Sports reporting James Beattie having a medical at Blackpool. as at least a million people got that in before me, then I wonder what the medical is at Blackpool - do they tie at ice-cream to a donkey and make Beattie chase it down the beach, if he can catch it within 100 yards then he's in?
-
In other news, from the BBC deadline day page... 1257: Don't think that TDD has not hit the radar of BBC Comedy. That would be foolish in the extreme. One of their blogs looks at the prospect of Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona for Blackburn , another muses on Darren Bent signing for Lincoln. Check them out. What has TheDellDays been up to?
-
But we need players who will make an impact now, not in a couple of months when they've regained form / fitness/ desire etc. Glasgow Saint summed it up for me, he has been shocking. If you can't get up for an old firm game when he knew he had the chance to break into the squad - even then there were rumours that Miller would be sold - then sorry, he doesn't deserve the chance to come back here.
-
Couldn't agree less. As someone who watched Beattie play for 60 or so mins in the old firm game at New Year, I think he would be a terrible signing. Doesn't look fit, didn't look interested and the fact that he didn't even make the bench for the CIS cup semi final yesterday even though Rangers have lost Kenny Miller to Bursaspor speaks volumes. He really is a player who has lost his way, and it's too big a gamble to try and get him back to show him the right road.
-
I cannot see Murray winning a slam... ever. Just listen to the interview he gave to 5live afterwards and the last sentance (not exactly word for word) but 'i'll keep trying for a slam but if I don't win one then it doesn't matter'. Sums up everything about him, doesn't want it enough so will never have the drive to win one.
-
Well at least they won't be getting O'Hara back from spuds this season as he's gone to Wolves on loan for the rest of the season
-
Just a shame that the decent British Murray who played earlier in the week didn't show up and the cr@p Scottish one had to play instead!!
-
Yep perform like that (without the mistakes) until the end of the season and we will go up.

The link is to the UHY Hacker Young site with the proposed modification of the CVA, the meeting was just before Christmas which I assume approved the changes. The reason for changes: 'Unfortunately, the player sales did not reach the projected value and therefore the £3,000,000 contribution was not received.' The first payment due is 1st April 2012. http://www.uhy-uk.com/pages/posts/our-proposed-modifications-to-the-cva-proposals-of-portsmouth-fc-and-revised-proposals-for-achieving-the-administrations-purpose773.php

Have to agree that will be the Jets-Bears in the SB, not surprised that the Jets beat the Patriots just gutted that didn't have the sense to back it at the bookies. Although it was made a bit sweeter by watching the game in my regular pub for the NFL which is normally fairly quiet, this time the Pats fans came out of the woodwork like glory hunting Man U fans so they can crawl back home and put their Brady shirts away for another year.

The question is, are there any brown bags left in pompey? Actually there's another - who's going to cut up the newspapers into note size chunks to fill them?
