No, they weren't in admin in either 1976 or 1988, but they did have serious financial problems at both times: little excerpt from wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portsmouth_F.C. So at least once in the past they have managed to cut costs to save themselves.

into admin at 10.20am ??? It's only 10.00 now as I'm posting. Think that might be from last time?

Sorry, but that does not stack up at all. He's paid the January wages - which are presumably stuck in the frozen bank account - yet doesn't know what the situation is? Absolute b*ll**ks! The wage bill (excluding tax because they aren't paying that) must be, say £1.5m per month. So are they saying that the money lender has lent them another £1.5m without knowing exactly what the situation is? Um don't think so. Either he knows exactly what the situation is, or he didn't lend them the money & the account is empty as well as frozen. Either way, he's coming to the UK because he's got £17m (or maybe now £18.5m) invested and a potential end-game is coming quickly in 2 weeks time. He needs to be here to decide what to do, or if by some miracle AA does find another mug to palm the business off to again, he'll need to move quickly as well. So no surprise that he's turned up. Vultures always turn up just before the victim dies, they get first dibs on the carcass that way.

Yes, I would think that Trading Standards would take a dim view of offering cash sales only... and then saying you can't have a cash refund on a cash purchase, as there will be no other method of effecting any refund. Still doubt anything will happen to them, DFCSB.

He probably did, there's no frost on his lawn this morning....
-
But as it says... and that's the one problem, they still cling on to those memories and why the inaction by the authorities to what was happening also needs to be looked at. Yeah, that dawned on me yesterday. So he's happy to tell a pack of lies to the press. Wait for the first press conference after the court case, wonder if he'll say that he was honest guv with the journo's and lied to the court?

Cannot believe the garbage coming out of Arry's mouth in court 'Morally' due the bonus!! WTF! And if it's not for making a profit on Crouch then what the **** is the 'bonus' for? Whilst accepting that it's morally right and you're not being greedy!

Apparently Billy Sharp being interviewed on the Sports Bar on Talksport at 10.30pm
-
So one minute he writes like 2 year old, can't work a fax or send an email and hasn't seen a payslip for 10 years.... and in the next breath, he knows better than his accountant (who apparently runs his life) about what tax to pay. Remarkable! Oh and Jamie... if the accountant ran his life that much... better get a DNA test pronto!

Synopsis is Fans can't choose their owners, not their fault Poor owner after poor owner (I think he meant as in not very good rather than potless!) JoCa been talking to the FL for months! then disappeared and is back again AA & Chainrai choose who they sell to Smallest squad in the FL - have to sell players, mentioned Pearce & Ward offer from Ipswich Fans - go to 12th man website Pompey supporters trust doing fantastic work behind the scenes - taken out plan B out of mothballs if they get liquidated it's AFCP Voldemort handled it with dignity, he's been transparent, answers the questions no one else will, playing decent football at times Andy Goldstein & Ray Parlour did the 'interview' ****ing waste of space, the pair of them. Oh it'll be a shame for the fans, the FL can't let it happen, Parlour saying what great fans they have.

Neil Allen on Talksport now

Maybe not Phil. From the leaflet kindly posted by Delmary earlier... Looks like they may already have their date!
-
Haha Pompey Jake is a legend... I like this gem a little further down... "Anyone else think this may be Admin Andy trying to speed up any potential buyers?" Absolutely priceless!! That's right Jake, AA's plan is to not pay any bills because that means any buyer would have to move quickly and not do due diligence properly. Of course, having the axe of a WUP over them makes them infinitely more attractive to a buyer
-
If that's the case, then how are they going to pay the wages in January? Lumpitt & Admin Andy have both said that they've got the funds, now AA is saying they haven't. Hmm.
-
I believe the SPL only got involved after the players made a formal complaint to them via the players union. Otherwise they were doing nothing, I know that the players held off for a couple of months before making the complaint in December. Ironically, Hearts have now been charged by the SPL as allegedly the January wages were not received, despite the club stating they had been paid. Sounds like the payment was requested in time, but as the funds were being transferred from Lithuania, they weren't received until the next day (i.e. 1 day late). Shocking how these football clubs keep having problems with bank systems
-
Ouch, so they reduced their net loss to only £26m for the last year!!!! Based on a season when they got to the FA cup semi-final, and if the owner has only got £60m left then it's not long before they'll come crashing down. Elmander was at the end of his contract so a free agent rather than being released, but given the rest of the article, there is no way they could afford to offer him a new contract. They may well survive this season as I think Coyle will turn it around there, but with 12 players out of contract in the summer, they are going to be struggling again next season.
-
I think that if they tried to challenge the FL in the courts, they would quickly find their golden share being withdrawn in much the same way as the FL threatened to withdraw ours if we took legal action against them for imposing our penalty for administration.

Well if we go about things professionally, then we would need to put a bid in first... anything else is tapping up. -

Okay I'll bite... ... so apart from helping to unsettle the player so that his current club will be more willing to sell in the future, increasing our profile to other players who may the sign, and helping push the cost up to another club if he signs for them, there really isn't much point. What did the Romans ever do for us.... -
love it.... The identity of the group in the running to buy the club remains a secret and Andronikou insists it is in the best interests of all parties concerned until the transaction is officially confirmed. "We don’t want to cause any embarrassment," he explained. They're already embarrassed to be associated with the few & they haven't taken over yet
-
2 weeks... hahahaha... the snooze must assume that all these takeovers without due diligence being done are the norm so they expect every takeover of the few to be done that quickly. unless they've found the only chinese billionaire who can't count - I'm now expecting a slightly chubby chinese kid at the next home game to be sat in the directors box wearing a pompey shirt slightly too small for him!
-
I'm guessing that will be the WRC rights - which on the face of it appear the most saleable asset CSI had, and also need to be sold quickly as the new WRC season starts in January I believe with the Monte Carlo Rally. AA's job will be to talk up their chances as usual - it's not good for the few that he's already mentioning administration as a possibility.

Saab are pretty much in the poop anyway, they have less than a week to save themselves from bankruptcy http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16074685 and this bit of news from Holland won't help them either... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-16148023

They promised to pay their taxes, They promised to pay the charities, They promised to pay a CVA but haven't so far , and moved back the date of the first installment. Talk about double standards...FFS.

Yes Chelsea have a big stadium (well bigger than your cesspit - and the toilets work as well), and I think the cup gate is split between the clubs, however Chelsea also struggle to sell out their Champions League fixtures so will be interesting to see what the crowd will be - no doubt some of the glory hunters will scrape together to see plucky old Pompey one last time. Will it be enough to get you to the end of the season?... On it's own, the answer is no.
